"yea, i think he woulda gone sub 1:50 in indoor if he stayed healthy. he had nick lara from adam state shakin in his pants."

You obviously are clueless about Nick Lara. He is arguably the most badass 800m runner D2 has ever seen. Kid has never lost to Strauman to the best of my knowledge. He made nationals last year outdoors coming off of basically no training and still almost made the final.

Didnt Dirt quit running for LHU cuz he couldnt make the team...so that begs the question how did he beat a sub 9 min steepler...did the steepler put on some pounds or was he just not trying, i am a fan of Dirts comments, but i am just trying to figure out how a 16:30 5k guy can beat a sub 9 min steepler...or was his sub 9 really a sub 10???

help me solve this puzzle wrapped in an enigma

also congrats on finding Mrs. Dirt we were all pulling for you, i am assuming you are going to invite everyone on this message board to the wedding?? Seeing we all gave you such self motivating words to make you the suave animal you are today.

The sub 9 steepler put on some pounds. Early August the two went out hard through 800 and the pounds seemed to slow Brad Baird (Cornell alum) down. Even so Skweirz has some potential for the 800 and mile with proper training.

Despite a couple haters I'm sure one of the many closet Dirt fans would be quick to spread the word of any pending nuptuals.

I think that should be enough Dirt talk for now!

Most badass 800 runner d2 has ever seen? Hardly. he has no all time records. yes he won 6 of 8 titles. but he didnt set any records.

and i believe there was a race in emporia, kansas in 2006 where strauman went head to head and beat lara. look it up.

actually in 2006, Lara was both the indoor and outdoor champion. Sean won the prelims.

Hello PSAC fanatics. I have a link for you to check out.

http://www.greenbusadventures.com/

This is Josh Wooten's site documenting his trip across the U.S. with his new wife Kim.

For those of you who know Josh this is Josh at his very best. Many of you older guys remember Josh as a pretty good XC runner and steepler. I know him to be a a great intellect, passionate about this conference and a true free spirit. I hope you enjoy his up dates and reports.

But Sean sttill beat him. and if i recall sean's stories, lara was pretty pissed off about it.

and now i dont wanna take anythin way from lara. the man is a beaaaaaast! but ya cant say he was the best d2 ever saw when he doesnt have any all time records. his pr is low 1:48's. the d2 indoor record is 1:47 and outdoor is 1:45 or 1:46

redesign 1/9/2009 10:08PM - in reply to 800 PSAC fan Reply | Return to Index | Report Post
Hey guys, my Letsrun redesign made the cut, and I am one of the final people being considered to update the site. For those of you who may not know me I am a senior for Cal. I would love to hear some feedback so when I turn in my final draft I can get the best site out there, that still maintains the appeal of Letsrun.

My goals were to increase readability and organization by partitioning off some of the most popular and unique site features, "Quote of the day, The week that was, and the message boards," giving the page more hierarchy. Separating the news by U.S. and international and adding tabs for the last five days of the week make it easier to remember where you left off reading news previously, and helps readers hone in on topics that interest them the most.

You can read more about the contest here http://www.letsrun.com/2009/finalround.php
