Blood 29:45 out at Stanford

Weiss Run's 3;52 at the west meet

Cummings the 800 in 1:54.

Brady wins the East Steeple in 9:27 or so. Looks like we have a new leader in the steeple.

Bucknell should be interesting - Reagan Blood and Weiss in the 5k.

Cummings in the 1500?

Shizzy didn't run anything, Actually I heard that he is suffering from ailments related to his previous stress fracture. I also heard, but cannot confirm that he got an underage this weekend.

Maybe he was trying to drink away his troubles??????

its unfortunate, it really is, but he was told after xc what the rules would be. but chose to be a "bigger man" and drink anyway. he also broke a team rule regarding certain attire which was banned by the coaching staff. both incidents were brought to coaches attention and they are taking action.

it's ashame really he was in good shape.

not sure about the injury issue however. but it seems as though he is done anyway.

Was looking at the PSAC performance list today, the 5k is loaded with SRU, 12456. How many points do you really think they can pull from this event?

Weiss and Reagan obviously out front but whos next????
What about the other distance events?

800 - strauman the winner, manfield 2-3.

1500 - Cummings without a doubt. I say Pinto is going to get 5-6th he didnt look good this weekend .. Only running a 1:59, last weekend he ran 4:00 a home. I just think he doesnt have it anymore.

10k should be a good race between the sru guys and blood.

You're a fool if you think Pinto will get 5th. Its early april, he has won his only 15, and he is a 15-5k guy not an 800-15. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Is there any validity to the reports on Neyhart?

How bout Reagan showing some wheels in the 15? 356, very impressive for a 10k runner.

I have to second the sentiments about P{into. The guy is one tuff SOB in a race. He will be right in it. What is up with Spidell - is he running or not?

I'm here to confirm the reports of Shizzy and the underage, here's a quote from the article in Shippensburg's paper, "On Saturday, April 5 at approximately 2 a.m., police charged Joshua Neyhart with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after he was allegedly observed urinating in the middle of East King Street, according to police. While being investigated, Joshua became angry and started yelling. After Joshua shoved a bystander, police attempted to take him into custody by Joshua resisted, and grabbed an officer. Police used a tser on Joshua and had him transported to Carlisle Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Joshua continued to struggle at the hospital and was transported to Cumberland County Prison."

Word is he was yelling "sub-4 or die!!" and "spence aint got sh** on me!" while being taken away by the police. Sad story, he was running well. Shippensburg head coach Dave Osanitch reportedly kicked Neyhart off the team for the rest of the season.

I just talked to a couple of the Ship guys and everything about Neyhart is true as Kansas's big upset.

I am honestly not surprised in the least after his indoor antics following the mile. Neyharts got a hell of a temper and some real anger issues.

I guess this shows that you just because you have all the talent and opportunities in the world doesn't mean things are going to come easy for you. You have to make the most of it by making smart decisions. Its a shame his team has to suffer(by losing his possible points at PSACS) because of the choices he made.

Word is Neyhart is done after this weekend. The university doesn't recieve the actual police reports from the borough every day but on a weekly basis on monday mornings. I guess the Ship coaches aren't taking it as seriously as I thought they would have.

Good luck JNEY, wouldn't it suck if you qualified for NATS this weekend???

I don't know about all that information, all I heard was that Osanitch was kicking him off for the remainder of the season, not sure about when it was going to be official though. And if you don't believe the story, look at Shippensburg's paper The Slate, the story was printed and is in circulation as of right now. After Rock's problems with drinking and now Ship's, it seems like it is becoming a problem with our athletes in the PSAC. These kids need to realize that to become great, you can't do it by participating in these kinds of activities. It is giving the schools a bad reputation and it is destroying the good reputation of the PSAC. These young athletes need to start thinking before they go off and do stupid things like this and ruin all of the good things they have going for themselves.
