Because he's chosen to run Great North.
I see one list with a 1:00:11 for Todd Williams...why is this not considered the American record?
Aided, I believe.

is abdi running a fall marathon? if so which one? thank you.
Malmo, didn't you run around 1:01:40 on this course? I seem to remember you going by two miles at about 8:55. Is that right?

After NYC Half he spoke of planning to run a fall half, but hadn't decided which one. Berlin's obviously out and Chi is cutting it a bit close, so the obvious answer is NYC, esp. given his relationship w/ the organizers - they like him, he's good for quotes and runs well there, and he likes them. Maybe he was waiting to bust a good one at Philly before sealing the deal. Whatever the reason, elite recruiter Dave Monti is probably gonna have to dig a little deeper in his pockets to get Abdi now (although by waiting, Abdi has also reduced his options a bit). In any case, if NYC wants him, they'll get him - they're kind of like the baseball team in the Bronx in terms of acquiring desired athletes - money is virtually no object.
Sorry, early Monday dyslexia - I meant to write "planning to run a fall MARATHON."

Nope. 4:40's like clockwork. Musioki and Kamau were about 9:15 (and 28:45) as I recall. Dixon and hit 10k in 28:56.
edit "Dixon and I hit 10k in 28:56."
Does Yuot still have eligibility left?
