If it is proof positive, it would be such a big shame on Americans for bringing over a drug cheat to tarnish the symbolism of the yellow jersey.
You gotta wonder though, Tyler Hamilton gets caught with drugs, now this guy...both former lt's of Lance Armstrong.
Or maybe it's Phonak?
It's usuallly who you associate with that gets you in trouble.
Why should Americans be ashamed? It's not like there is an American team and american officials promoted cheating. If anything Americans should be proud. All the other cheaters got busted even before the race began. Floyd won the race before he was caught. Way to go Floyd.
By the way Floyd is not an American he is a Mennonite.
Ha,ha, ha. Tarnish the symbolism of the yellow jersey! That's great stuff! You sir are an idiot if you really think that Floyd is the first person to wear the yellow jersey who took drugs! Pull your head out of the sand!

americans shouldnt be ashamed. EVERYBODY in the top 20 was doped to the gills and our boy just happened to have a shitty team doctor. 9 positive tests from phonak in 2 years! my god is that terrible. i'm starting to try and get into sports that drugs don't help in. golf, nascar and basketball have never seemed so appealing.
Yes, as a fellow American I am ashamed since I was actually at the meeting discussing how we were going to juiced Floyd up. Just like I am ashamed for Charles Manson and Paris Hilton since I know them also.

What? Basketball is drug free? It's strength based sport (jumping, blocking, sprinting...) as well as skill sport. Drugs definitely help there and I bet that at least 50% of the never-tested NBA players are using drugs.
Recreational drugs for sure, but very few steroids in basketball. It wasn't until recently that NBA players started lifting weights!

You probably believe in St. Claus as well. Just kidding.
It doesn't matter whether they were lifting weights or not (though hard to elieve), the vertical jump and pure sprinting ability as well as quickness and lots of agresiveness is REQUIRED together with great skills. How do you achieve it and surpass millions of others who are waiting for lucrative NBA jobs? You take steroids and train your ass off. If there are money there are drugs, it's been so from late 60's. Why would it avoid pro basketball, with millions of $ in it? Why would those guys say no, if there are no consequences for them (at least not immediate)?
Errr- Alonzo Mourning? Can you say Steroids? And I'm pretty sure he isn't the only one.
Steve Nash was the MVP in the last two seasons and he is definietly not taking any drugs, just look at him, do Rip Hamilton or Tayshaun Prince look like the take roids?
Some guys are maybe on the juice but the biggest drug problem in the NBA is still the usage of Marijuana.
Common excuse #23: Everybody does it I just got caught.
FYI: Tyler was not caught with drugs; he was caught (allegedly) with someone else's blood in his veins. Not condoning nor excusing, merely clarifying.

Why do you take pleasure in other misfortunes? To have such low self-esteem must be awful. I feel sorry for you.
do we still have to say "allegedly" for tyler hamilton? I think he's serving a two year ban.
NBA, soccer, obviously the NFL are probably filled with guys taking PEDs - somehow they've stayed under the radar so far. I wonder why?

Only realism...

Roberto Heras, the winner of last year's Vuelta Espana (Tour of Spain) was stripped of his win as he tested psoitive for EPO (now serving a two year ban). He's a former Armstrong teammate too.
But if you want to play "six degrees of Lance" with former teammates and drugs, nearly every rider in the peleton has three or four former or current teammates that have tested positive. This proves nothing.

When you say recently, you mean, 20 years ago? NBA players and basketball players in general have been lifting weights for a long time.

This is not realism, this is the sign of a distribued person that will never amount to much.
You should start watching "My Name Is Earl" It will help you prepare for the rest of your life.
