How many miles per week, and how many hours of sleep per night on average?
I sleep about 8 hours per night, about 10 hours on sunday. I dont , however, sleep any miles.
When I was doing some high mileage last fall 100-130 miles a week. .I would get around 7-8 hours normally. .every once in a while would be 9-10. . but tried to take a nap once or twice a week if I felt worn down.
I currently log around 100 - 110 per week and sleep around 7.5 hours per night during the weekdays. I usually have the same sleep schedule on the weekends, with the addition of a couple of naps thrown in there.
i'm not working, and not running high mileage (around 70-75), but i'm getting about 10 or 11 hours every night...have been for the past three weeks...and I'm feeling better than ever!
90 to 100 miles, 5 to 6.5 hrs of sleep. Not getting in enough of either. If I had more free time I would use it for sleep before I add more miles. I think I'm maxing out on the amount of miles I can run given the limited sleep I get.
6.5
not enough
80 miles - 5 hours... but I often pass out half-way through the day for about 2 hours.
Not getting enough.
Inverse relationship for me. Demanding job; spending time with wife & 3 kids; coaching youth sports; etc, etc, etc. The only time I can run is early in the morning...so the more miles I want to run, the earlier I need to get up, the less sleep I get. I don't seem to get to bed early either, so I get 7 hours only on a good night.
Not sure what you think is high mileage but I am doing 110 - 120 and get about 8 hours a night. Very rarely do I get a nap although I could use one.
60-70 mpw and getting 9-10 hours of sleep. I'm still exhausted a lot, I don't know how you 100+ guys do it with 5 hours of sleep.

Pretty much ditto for me. I am doing 90 miles a week right now with a run everyday at 7 pm and 7 am. I shot for 9 hours of sleep and generally get 8 - 8.5 hours of sleep.
What about quality of sleep? I find 9 hrs from 11-8 or something is much better than 11 hrs from like 1-12...thats killer, in bed early is awesome.
Running about 100-105 mpw right now and getting 9 hours a night, can't take any naps though because then I can't get to sleep at night.
