I think it is 100 meters or longer,It takes me 2 minutes now days used to be 3 minutes. The guy who took the photo is name is Jimmy, told me they should name after me like that one in Kenya Gilgil 'Rono Hill' Henry |

As many times as you've run that hill, you must have worn that path by yourself. I did a 12 mile run yesterday, and 4 miles of it was up a steep trail. I kept thinking "this is the way the GREAT Henry Rono trains", and that got me to the top of the hill. Go Henry!!! |

Henry, that path looks like you might have to jump a rattlesnake or two in the Summertime? Image: http://i5.tinypic.com/4bt1479.jpg At least there's no chance of running into a smiling black mamba in New Mexico! Image: http://i7.tinypic.com/34xlvtc.jpg |

Malmo, Please do you know this class is for adults? Remember respect everyone else in this room.It is for you to get along with everbody. Bringing rattlesnakes in this class is unacceptable.We need a better way of respecting other people. Henry |

r u scared of snakes, Henry? Phillp Ndoo told me he got bit by a rattle snake, while running at Eastern New Mexico U. in the early 70s. He joked that he had to come all the way to America to get bit by a snake, as he had avoided it back in Kenya. ha, ha. |

I got bit by a dog the other day and I'm healing my armstring and my left hand. Now you want me to get bit by a snake? Will not have any meat on me left to run a mile world record then. Henry |

Henry: what was the fastest you were ever clocked in a 440 yard or 400meter race? A time trial or relay leg, where you ran all out for 400m. (not in a 5k race). I am guessing you ran about 52 seconds, am I close? |
| Henry Rono |
| ||
You are close.Did 54 second allout,but during the race I did 52 second in the last lap when I was runing 5k in Zurich in 1982; however, for me to have that speed I did train at low altitude under sea level,when jose Hermann was my manager. Henry |

Henry, I do not know if you have touched on this already, as I am new to the discussion board but, how did you train when you were crushing World Records left and right? What were the staples of your program? I would like to learn from you! |

He's said in earlier threads to this request, many times that: "you will have to wait for my book to come out next year, it will all be in there." |
