F*** those motherF***ers...I don't give a shit about the team title...thanks for showing about a minute of the 1500.

I know what the bloody hell this always happens
I like how Carol Lewis and Ian Eagle were basically implying that Lancashire should just jog home because they already won the team title. Then the ensuing interview where Lancashire was clearly pissed off, but Dwight Stone kept trying to get him to celebrate was also pretty funny.
Nice to see the officials raking out the pit and the jumpers backs instead of the race.
Don't you know it was more important to watch the triple jumper take his shoes off than show the race???
it was great how we were watching the back of some fat dude for half the race... couldnt they have cut to that triple jump just after the 1500. The triple was not dramatic at all, why did we need to see it!!!
As I said on another thread, they absolutely REFUSE to show more than 400 meters of continuous running. I'll bet money that some executive who studies viewer surveys strictly prohibited them from doing it. The casual viewer will turn it if they have to watch more than a minute for some sort of resolution.
Yeah that's right...show the f***ing last 40m about 10 times. I'd rather see the other 1460m instead.
The CBS producers should be pretty embarrassed. I mean, I totally get creating the team-title drama with the triple going on at the same time as the 1500, and showing it picture in picture was pretty sweet, but there was no need to cut away from the 1500 completely and there was DEFINITELY no need to show the triple jumper walking around after his jump and the fat ass of some shmuck raking the pit. That was moronic. When the UM guy jumped and they showed him walking around, I could hear the bell in the background... so frustrating.
Not to mention they showed only highlights of the men and women 800, no women's 1500 (yet) and no 5k or 10k for either sex (as far as I can tell).
However, Ato Bolden is shockingly good as a commentator. Insightful and informative. Carol Lewis, as usual, is like listening to a blind person describe their favorite porn. Not to mention that she looks like a wildebeast today.
Too funny! After all the phony buildup about the team competition, Lancashire clearly doesn't give a shit!
LOL, That was classic coverage. I'm not even surprised anymore.
What's the point in using the split-screen for a total of 3 seconds? Why use it at all?
Why do they keep talking and showing highlights and glimpses over victories that already ocurred, the whole time the steeple is going on.
frustrating, but that 1500m final was way more frustrating.
At this point, CBS cares more about the f***ing team title than lancashire.

lofl, so true.......i can't stop laughing at your post.
anybody wanna guess on how much they'll show of teh steeple? i'm timing it...i'll go 2 min.
Ditto re: DC800's post. That was hilarious.
how bout some results?
They'll probably give us the women's hep 800 as picture in picture and then a close-up of some hayseed measuring javelin throws while Carol tells us that the point of the steeple is to get as wet as possible because it "cools you off" and "reduces friction". I'm guessing that at some point they'll give us the team points breakdown for every team title race. Ever. They're obsessed.
