I thought it was cool.
look at how empty the seats were, the meet promoters probably thought they could get a better crowd if some people who dont usually watch track come to see the singer and vice versa, but it looked like the singers were holding their privates over and over again, i dont know why a singer would be so nervous before a relatively small crowd, next time maybe they could go to the bathroom before they go on stage.

Bow Wow was awful, but the bigger point is that the stands were something less than half full on the homestretch and basically empty on the backstraight. No matter what camera angle was used, you could see that the place was 1/3 full at the most. A terrible turnout.

I dont think it was a bad idea having them(Bow Wow) perform after the meet. I personally am not a huge fan of them but it's kind of a good way to draw a larger/new audience to the sport of track and field.
what's wrong with spending money on cars, jewelry, and the things that you may like? It's their money not yours. To each his own. That sort of thing. It's just money, have fun with it and handle it the way you want to. As far as the ball grabbin'... I doubt that they were grabbing their balls. It's more of a "let's keep our pants up" style (i'm not being condescending) or just a place to grip (the loose pants material). Kinda like someone keeping their hands in their pockets or on their hips. Be nice
I think Bow Wow sucks, but he's popular. At least the meet promoters are trying to market the sport. Crowds aren't interested in 4 hour trackmeets with 10 heats, they want entertainment. I think it was a good concept.
How much were the tickets to get into the meet? If they raised it to accomodate hosting a rapper's performance at the end, might have discouraged the "classic" track crowd (old white people).

I was at the meet today. Everyone was totally in to the events and what was going on. Once the meet ended, about 90% of the people left during bow wow's performance.
