I predict that Kiel Uhl of Iowa State, a freshman and a virtual unknown, will do big things this weekend at Van Cortlandt. 67th at NCAA's XC. Anyone agree or disagree? Or does no one have any clue who he is? I bet he makes the World Juniors team.

He's the junior favorite in my mind.
he ran an 8:13 3k last weekend as a tune up...high school boys better watch it
I believe he has a decent shot at making it don't forget he was 2nd at midwest regions.
But this is who else is in here:
AJ Acosta
Ben stitler
Brandon bethke
Diego Mercado
Bumbalough
Jordan McDougal
Kenny Klotz
The team will be comprised out of these guys and whoever has a bad race will miss the boat.
i attended a camp in colorado w/ kiel and he's a cool guy. i think he'll definatly tear it up at juniors.
my picks:
1. uhl
2. bumbalough
3. bethke
4. mcdougal
5. acosta
6. klotz
7. daniel mercado

Bumbalough will make everyone else look like children, laying the smackdown on the field.

uhl is very good and my pick to take 2nd in the race, but seriously, bumbalough is much more impressive than anyone in the field. i like uhl and am very impressed by his development since high school (8th at big 12, 67 at ncaa's) but 8:13 is not in the same ballpark as 8:01 and had bumbalough run ncaa's he likely would have been top 30 or better. just from what i've read, he sounds like the real deal. good head on his shoulders and seems to have a ton of untapped potential. he's not even 19 yet!
isn't that what people were saying before footlocker last year when he was kicked down by Cromier.
True, but wasn't he sick that week or something? Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if some guys like Bumbalough, Uhl, etc. just ran to qualify given the conditions (mud from melted snow, possibly still some snow?).Who knows...just throwing that out there...Anyway, my prediction is Bumbalough, McDougal, Uhl, Acosta, Biladeau, Klotz
im taking a wild guess that the guy that started this thread's name is Paul and his last name starts with a B. tell me if im wrong
1. Bumbi
2. Uhl
3. McDougal
4. Klotz
Klotz has a great chance to be the #1 high schooler because has shown to be a very good runner in rough conditions as seen by his first place at Nike Team Nationals.
