Josephat Boit not being disqualified for a clear false start because he was on home turf. He was a good 2 metres clear after 10 metres before they called them back. Anywhere else he would have been disqualified like the sprinters but they didnt even blink an eyelid. I think this type of stuff is ridiculous especially when Arkansas get away with so many things in the NCAA.

The Coach McDonnell bobble-head dolls were cool. The ushers were over-zealous in keeping the athletes corralled into certain areas and in preventing anyone from getting within 10 feet of the track.

Didn't go to it, but watched some on TV.

Loved the All-Star relay. They should assemble a DMR next year. Feature Webb on the anchor, Wariner on the 400, & get two other guys for the 8 & 12.

Actually to expand on that... Webb on the 1200, Lagat on the Mile. & whoever our fastest 800 guy is after this year.

how about a relay team that would make the relay an actual interesting race? meaning not have webb and lagat on the same team

Webb, Lagat, Wariner, and John John. A DMR at any major event, say a PRE or a Golden League would be sick.

They should just add a DMR as a Olympic Event.

Are you suggesting that the officials should have DIS-regarded the rules? The race was called back, and as per the rules, he was NOT disqualified. If you're suggesting that it should have been recalled sooner, then fine. But lets be honest, they had only one recall starter for the race, I mean, how many false starts have you seen in the 5k?

Overall, it was a great meet. I sat in the reserved section rgiht at the finish line. The seats are a little cramped and not very comfortable, but not a big deal. Most of the races were great. The only major annoyance was when the very knowledgable crowd went silent before the start of a sprint race, the ESPN booth commentators kept right on talking and projecting there voice across the track. There were a few times I felt the meet schedule could have been run tighter, but everything was within ten minutes of the scheduled start. I wish Lunn had some better competition.

One major positive note was the head usher/official in the red blazer. Because of him, I was able to get my son an autograph that I know he will appreciate in a few years.

Oh yeah, sitting behind some members of the Tyson family when they realized that they were about to write a 25K check to Spearmon, priceless!!

i liked goucher running 7:41. hard to believe it's over 8 years since he won ncaa cross.

They had ads attached to the railing on the track that blocked out most of the bleachers at the starting curve. The non-reserve seating is limited so blocking out these seats is annoying at best.

Next year, move up a few rows.
