Iwas curious. I have a planned early May marathon and will start my 18 week countdown after the first of the year. I would like to get in some races during this time frame. Do any of you have a preference as to the distance raced and the time between races and the time prior to your target race? I was thinking of doing possibly one 10K, and maybe two 1/2 marathons with the final 1/2 one month prior to my marathon. Would it be prudent to race the half's and my target marathon pace, or should I run it as fast as possible? Thanks.
