it went out pretty quick--a little too fast for most of the people. by 5k most of the field had spread out. Spiker really turned it on over the last 2 miles.

conditions: cold with some wind.

The weather seemed slightly warm with no wind, it was a fun meet

The 10k was insanely fast, it was twice as fast as the 5k!

29:44=14:52 5k times two! :)

5k Winner was only 15:04 in comparision, which is also very fast!. Masters 5k won in 15:33

the last 5k of the 10k was the 5k course. So the 10k was legit USATF certified.

The Dana Point 10K tends to pick up some very serious people who compete in the USATF XC Nationals later and seem to use Dana Point as a test race or time trial. So in the 10K you get some VERY fast times at the front. The 5K tends to be more "normal" people.

Who does Spiker train with now? Future Track?

I had an "Eddy" sighting at this race. He didnt run but had a few of his little bitches running the 10k.

I was gonna say there ARE a lot of Tucsonans in that field and Eddy was missing from the Tucson 'Trot. Too bad too because I wanted to demolish his punk ass sons!

yeah Eddy brought down his Kenyans to try and win. And they got worked. Bunch of young freash out of college guys bet them. This race was a lot deeper than years past though.

before the race started, the announcer was talking about him. i heard him say "eddy habbybyuck" or however the byuck you say his name, is here from AZ.

i was pissed to say the least. whatever though, i had a bad race so what do i care? i'm just glad other post collegians like myself whooped up on his druggie team. oh wait, i probably shouldn't say that. but where there is smoke, there is fire.
