we are probably camping out ... who is this? one of us used to run for PC
I wont be camping out, I have a place to stay. I would however like to know if anyone is up throwing down the night before, or doing some tail gating...
Three or four of us are planning to drive out there and pitch a tent Sunday night. Thankfully it's looking like no rain.
I want to come camp out. Where they heck will you guys find a place to camp?
I don't know the city very well but I plan to drive around campus Sunday night because I think their track is on campus. They are having a milk mile I read about and I may sign up to run or just watch the others run.
Other than that, anything fun going on in Terre Haute this weekend?

Went to school at Indiana State. If you want fun, you'd better plan on driving to Indy or Bloomington. Otherwise, any one of the 5000 dive bars in Terrible Haute is as close as you'll get to any "fun."
Our Plan A is to try to camp on/next to the course itself. If that doesn't work, there are actually two or three campgrounds in Terre Haute that rent cam sites for the night.
Think we could prop a tent up on campus somewhere? That is my plan as of now. My friend from Indy said the coolest bar in Terre Haute is on campus. "The Valley" or something like that
Ballyhoo - The Bally. There's also Copper Bar & The Terminal downtown, usually have some coaches and former runners hanging out there Sunday night. If you can get into town Saturday night, obviously more of a party at the bars, and take Sunday to have some fun around town
I think they're doing the milk mile at 5:00. Camp out on the infield of the track at 3rd & Chestnut or across the street on Wolf Park. If you can to be real adventerous, you can camp in one of the parks around town, just watch your bumhole. Camping out at the course really is a bit difficult though, the center at the main gate keeps the land tight, and ISU will have people out there pretty late getting finishing little details.
I hear there is some public hunting land just west of the course. You start the fire and I'll provide the meat.
On Sunday night a group of Wisconsin fans are having a get together at M. Moggers Restaurant & Pub in Terra Haute.(908 Poplar Street)
You don't have to be a Badger fan to join in. Should be a good time.
.
did this in 2005. there's a KOA in terre haute with plenty of room to pitch tents and they have fire pits if you want to get a fire going. just don't try to camp out in the park where the race is, they will kick you out. KOA campground is the way to go.
