Ran 10:00, very quick, had contractor waiting at the house in my driveway when I got back.
He never called in advance, he just showed up! He's cool, he's age 64 and walks six miles daily.
1 hour bike ride.
Great way to unwind after a long day.
Home Coming Week, CC takes the backseat for these kids.
today: running errands on my bike all day. Timeless sneak appearance at the track at lunch for a bursted usual 18x100m warmup routine plus a quick 400m&400m in the floating 50s/floating 200s combination which came out at a particularly easy 2:55. More biking, more errands.
Yesterday PM: no run, unless you consider running a mile to pick up the kids at the gym a run...
Health Wishes to Everybody. Lurkers and Trolls included. A good thread needs healthy, lurking trolls...
Great work, everybody! You are all doing a fantastic job and I am proud of each and every one of you. Thank you for keeping this thread thriving and among the most active threads on letsrun.
I have been lurking in the shadows with the hope of not disturbing our little troll. :-) Ha ha. I feel confident in coming out now as he has surely given up his childish ways. I guess he has his own little forum over there in BC to terrorize and he doesn't need us anymore. Good riddance!
My own running continues in its base building phase. I'm not sure how long this will last, but I'm enjoying it and will hopefully benefit from this work down the line. Today I capped a nice 4-day roll with 75' over hilly terrain. It felt great.
Keep up the good work, all!
AM.6.5 miles at a stodgy 9:30 pace. Finished with a short strength circuit. Nailed 30 pushups on the second set.
Wonder what all the noise coming from my shoulder's will feel like tommorrow.
RD, thanks for the update and pep talk.
today, 2hours kids athletics. awesome.
Up at 6am for a solid two hour run with two of my teammates. Approximately 17 miles, a good way to start off a Saturday
30:00 in the rain, c/o Hurricane Kyle.
Good luck to you posters in Maine and the Canadian maritimes today and tonight.
Stay safe.

Probably because he's sick & tired of your immature tirades he's got nothing to say to you any more!
RAN MY FIRST MARATHON THIS MORNING!!!!! My pace went to hell at the end but still not bad! Hot morning too...22 celcius.
See my posts here:
I won a race.
(applause)
Congrats. You never forget that first one, good or bad.
:) Thats what they say - you never forget your first time indeed!
..... I wish it were true, after a while you only remember the good ones.
2 casual hours of road biking followed by a 2 mile run.
Knees starting to quiet down after last weeks abuse by downhills.
Congrats to the winner and marathon 1st timer. Even a high buck ticket on the fifty yard line won't give you that kind of lift.
21 miles in 2:27:xx. Last 4 miles fast. Last real long run, time to taper, I've got three weeks to go now.
Going to try McMillans' advice on the last 14 days before a Marathon , as per Oct. Running Times.
16 miles in 2:32 on a very hilly trail system.I was feeling heavy for the last 30 min.
Spectacular color through the Sugar Maple stands.
Chicago, 13 days and counting.
A quick mile as the phone was out and some large-scale movement of furniture was underway in the house.
The phone company is not exactly as fast as Bolt when it comes to service.
Hey Gents and Ladies (if there are)
So Sunday was just different.
I ran a fun 5K in the park while playing a drum. The whole time. Well it was more like an upsidedown plastic bucket but it made one hell of a noise. Anyway it was really a lot of fun and managed to run in about 20 minutes (big uphill, a bit flat, then big downhill) It was a lot of fun, wild for balance and rhythm. Plu no arms whatsoever. I did not want to run fast, and i wanted to see if something useful rhythm-wise would come up for kids athletics. Some other runners loved it. Not one complaint. Small field. Managed to play with both hands, carrying the drum under arm/armpit type hold.
Monday: lots of errands, no running
Today: AM 30 minutes quick in the park
PM 18x100m intense warmup routine
Soft way into doubles. As I decided to listen to that one poster who said i should train harder...
