The following teams have placed higher at the NCAA XC Championships over the past two years than the mighty DUCKS: Ok. State, Wisco, COlorado, BYU, Stanford, Oklahoma, Indiana, Portland, Texas, Florida State, NAU, Syracuse, Princeton, Tulsa, UGA and Columbia.
Columbia and Princeton. Two Ivies? Really?
I highly doubt that Cheserek will be on an athletic scholarship when you take into account the fact that his family lives in a mud hut.

Zach Perrin to Colrado.
Richard Goodman a stud from Great Britain went to Oregon, he didn't get a full and has to pay 10,000$ just shows how few fulls there are.
Cheserek won't have to pay a dime, and he'll be on a need based scholarship. Just watch.

No idea where Montoya and Cheserek will go, but both should take a close look at NAU. Especially Montoya, since he is from Arizona. Shrader, also from Arizona, went for Oregon and had 2 dismal years. Returning home to NAU, 15th in the nation at NCAA's.
Cheserek should also take a close look - Futsum had a great freshman year at NAU. The whole team is returning next year, and if both these guys join, NAU could have a shot at a national title - in my opinion. Compare that to Oregon. If it were me, it would be a no brainer.
I would like to see Cheserek at NAU. I root for NAU because they're a small school in a small conference with limited resources and still competes against the big schools such as Colorado, Oregon, Wisconsin, Ok st. etc. Would love to see them win a national championship one of these years. They deserve it. They've been knocking at the door for too long. Good luck to them.

That is huge is Haley Crouser doing the Hept. or the Javelin or both????? she is going to score at least 5 to 6 points as a true Freshman at Oregon in the NCAa's. The new Oregon Javelin coach at Oregon is putting in work. I was afraid she was going to pick UCLA over Oregon ;)
Does Oregon have a shot with Kendell Williams?????? out of Georgia or is she a lock to join her brother at Georgia. Her and Crouser would likely go 1-2 in the NCAA's at the Hept. maybe even as true freshman. They both would take the mantle from B-Theisen and own the multi's at the NCAA's.

they put about 70 % of their money into the distance events but still have a decent track team.

Coach Gieger has done a great job with what he has been given. Not a school who has brought in to many big name, blue chip guys. Bobby Mack, Ryan Hill, and Andrew Culley are all doing great.
The group there now will be one of the best in the NCAA in 2-3 years. Sam Parson, Craig Engles, Adrian Ross, Sam Roberson all red-shirted this year.
Throw in this years recruiting class, one of the top 5 in the country IMO, with them next year and it will be cool to watch.

Some of you, in addition to being axxholes, are also stupid. You go down hard head first (downhill, speed,...) you probably should NOT be finishing the race. ANYTIME you hit your head (which he is holding) you should not be doing hard effort, especially the extreme effort of racing FL.

Given where she finished last spring and how far she has thrown, 5 or 6 might be an underestimate. She has reasonable but not good speed (27s for 200 maybe?); does she want to do the Heptathlon? It does help to get 1000 points in the Jav while others are getting 600.
