Men's 10k Section 1 is off and running. 400 in 66 high.

Big field, starting to string out to single or double file. Names in this race include Mead, True, Ahmed, McNeil, bunch of others. 1k in the high 2:40s.

4:27 at 1600m. Not killing it. Mead, Ahmed, True are 3,4,5. Japanese runner is second behind the pacer (missed his name).

Looks like maybe a Robertson inserting himself into 4th, not positive, Grey up there, everyone else in one big strung-out pack.

Same leaders, same pace (about 28 flat pace).

Someone just pulled out from 4th place (the guy I thought was Robertson). The announcers are confirming it is Robertson. Looked like he was limping, like all the sudden he pulled something. Ouch. Missed the 3k but 3200 was 8:59. Still the rabbit, Japanese guy (Mekashaw?), Mead, Ahmed, True, Grey.

Still slowing a bit. We have some movement in the pack and a big move up to the front from a Saucony guy, he settles in about 4th. Pack bunching up a bit.

Big move from parker stinson going all the way to the front!

Whole field packed into about 4-5 seconds. Stinson moves up into second, the Japanese runner is getting passed, but Stinson settles in behind the rabbit. It's Mayhew rabbitting, looks like he's hurting.

Mead back by Stinson, still following the leader. 4800 in 1334.

Our rabbit has stepped off leaving Mead in the lead, followed by who? Shrader? 14:08 at 5k. Ahmed up there, McNeil, True. Mead has picked the pace up already.

My bad, not Shrader, it's Andy Vernon, and he moves to the lead.

Mead now by Vernon into the lead, McNeil, Ahmed. True sitting there, and not sure who the other guy in the top 6 is.

Vernon back to the lead, guess they both want to keep it honest. Which it is, 18:00 at what is that, I guess 16 laps in (4*1600). Mead, Vernon, Ahmed, True, Mekashaw. Big bunched-up pack.

Mead and Mekashew, Ahmed, True, Vernon, McNeil, everyone else is there as well right behind them (Grey, some Japanese guys). Mo ahmed making a pretty big move now!

Mekashaw chasing after Ahmed, the whole pack seems to be matching the pickup in pace. Who's in third? Mead in fourth, then True who hasn't had to lead at all. It's Landry in third. McNeil, Vernon.

28:00 pace at 6 laps to go. Mo Ahmed really stringing things out right now. Christo Landry in 3rd, True in 4th, mead fading back

After all that big talk about a sub 27:20... super disappointing

Ahmed dropped a 64 and is stringing it out, Mekashaw in second, Landry, True, McNeil, Vernon, Mead. There's almost a little gap from Landry to True. Mead seems to be falling back a bit but no loss of contact. Ahmed looking smooth at his pickup in pace, another 64 mid. 22:22 at 8k.
