Sat: Race, 5:07 indoor mile, lot of elbowing, cutting off and such, prolly 5 min effort
Sun:14 miles, 6:42 pace
This Morning:Sprint workout with Sprint team, involved some cardio, followed by 4 miles at 6:36 pace

Monday: track, barefoot, 2x7000m (but it was more like a continuos progression of 14Km) in 1h04m, starting at about 4:35/km pace ending with 4:00/km
Sunday: day at the beach with family. On the way back stopped at a friends for a quick 5x1mile around a wicked ondulating loop, yet another progression at something like 7:20, 7:10, 7:00, 6:40, 6:20... felt rushed but comfortable...

As a native of Mass I can tell you I feel for anyone who spent this winter prepping for Boston if they, too, live up here.

YESTERDAY: rest day, devasted by a funeral of a running friend;
TODAY: 10x600m at 2:20, with a brisk 200, recovery. Then 3:30 rest and a 2000m progression in 7:46. Still tired from Sunday and Monday combo, but held up.

I don't think threads belong to the people who start them.
The threads belong to the collective sum of the people who post.
AKA's allegation is seriously-toned. Yet in the spirit of a contemporary message board, it seems entirely fine to me if somebody made up identities on an anonymous message board and had a conversation by him or herself on a self-initiated thread.
But RD my advice, for a change of pace, would be to own up to it - if it is true - and see what happens in terms of posting.
And have the balls to keep posting here even if it was just you.
How many distinct runners (we assume they are runners, they could distinctly not be) are actually posting/have posted here?

I'm not sure why you addressed your message to me. I have never claimed this thread as my own. On the contrary, this has been very much a group effort of which I have been one small part.
As for posting under different names, I'm sure both vic and gonzo know we are not the same person. Whether or not you choose to believe that is your business. I for one am quite tired of being singled out all the time when all I'm trying to do is offer something positive to this thread. I've already reduced my posting here to help minimize the ungrounded abuse. I refuse to concede any more.

I ran 10 miles this morning, then got insanely tight calf syndrome and it was bad :(
Yesterday 20 X 200 hard/200 easy on the track + warm-up 1.5 miles and cool-down 1.5 miles. About 5K race pace for work intervals.
Today easy 6 miles.
Tomorrow 7.5 miles with 5 miles tempo.

Every so often it just seems someone will try to discourage you, RD, from posting. It might be a result of the proprietory cheerleading language (as in "keep up the good work") you sometimes use.
The cyclical conflict could eventually become boring and keep dyrt dwellers and neoposters from posting.
Hence my suggestion for a change of pace.
A thread like this, on a board like this, should probably exist regardless of who started it. Why are they hassling you?

Another crisp day on hand. 4.3 miles on a hard frozen snowmobile trail. Early AM temp.was -16F, calm and clear.40:06 later it was up to -8F with brilliant sunshine.
Beautiful to hear the chickadee announcing spring despite the cold snap.
