That's not a Beatles song...that's Paul McCartney and Wings.

Oh, yeah.
The Beatles, somehow, were greater than the sum of its parts, and they had some very great parts.
Sad that two of them are gone.
If you were a teenager in the sixties, they may provided much of the soundtrack in your life.

Norwegian Wood (This Bird has Flown). The song has several interpretations.
Knowing She Would = Norwegian Wood. What John Lennon really meant. Just replace the words in the song and it makes a lot of sense. John didn't get any that night and was okay with that.
I once had a girl
Or should I say she once had me
She showed me her room
Isn't it good Knowing She Would?
Great thread, but this obvious troll attempt seems to be driving much of the discussion. Knowing She Would = Norwegian Wood? Hilarious! Well played, sir. 8.9/10.
You can thank the other "trolls" for growing the discussion into a 100+ post thread. They done real well for themselves.
They should be embarrassed for falling for such an obvious troll. Knowing She Would = Norwegian Wood! Classic!

Not my fav but "While My Guitar..." has been stuck in my head for a couple of days now.
As far as a fav...perhaps the seemingly simplistic "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" from Meet the Beatles would be close to the top.
it would be either that one, or Yesterday

Mine is definitely Within you, Without you.
Although it technically is The Beatles, it was almost exclusively George Harrison and some random musicians that did it. It always seemed sad to me that some of the most profound music came from Harrison, and he was largely overlooked. In fact, he's still known as "the forgotten Beatle"
Another favorite of mine on a more superficial level was Maxwell's Silver Hammer.
This one goes up to eleven (no order):
Happiness is a Warm Gun
Across the Universe
A Day In the Life
Girl
We Can Work It Out
Strawberry Fields Forever
Don’t Let Me Down
You Never Give Me Your Money
Run For Your Life
Real Love (from Anthology vol. 2)
Julia
But that’s admittedly just a list of standouts, as to pick a top-10 with any confidence is just about impossible.
Well, this has been bumped up from 9 years ago, but...
While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Another George Harrison contribution.
Blind Canadian Blues guitar wizard Jeff Healy took that song and made it his own, much like Johnny Cash did with NIN’s Hurt, in my limited view.

Early: I Wanna Hold Your Hand
