Bobby Mack paced (dropped at 1200 meters) Ryan Hill to an NCSU and track 1500m record of 3:39.xx. Mack generated a lot of excitement, introduced as winning several races as a pro and a blue-collar runner. He was also introduced as being unattached. It definitely would have been cool to hear him being introduced as running for Letsrun. Also, Letsrun couldn't pick a better guy to represent them.

Mack also cruised a local 10K the day before to win his 4th consectutive Capital City Classic. Local Hero...Mack for Mayor!

I emailed this thread to the brothers. Wejo emailed me back saying they have emailed Bobby Mack and are trying to touch base on the phone. Hopefully they can work something out.

Bobby has turned down sponsorship because it required changing locations. He will run unattached for life. Even Ritz had to move to maintain his sponsorship.

Not really a good comparison. Of course Ritz relocated or else he'd be out of whatever 6 figure deal he's on. It is much easier for guys to relocate out of college. Mack is 5 years out of college, why relocate for dorm living and free gear...that's a little different than a mega Ritz Nike deal. Just sayin

A deal with LetsRun wouldn't. A big time deal with some shoe company might. Nike feels a lot better when they can keep a close eye on their investment.
