Minnesota was also leading the DMR by about 5 seconds going into the 1600 leg. They finished 7th. Anyone know what happened?

I just want to see a video of that mile race. I guess I'll have to wait for the Big 10 Network to air it.
Anyone have to scoop on what the splits were?

On the always reliable internet, I've read 53ish last 400.
Here is the final video.

Robbie Creese walked them down, but not sure how Minnesota fell so far back by the end.

Indiana stole the meet. Did not see that coming.
I have occasionally been accused to thinking too highly of Indiana and the Indiana distance runners. Anyone making those comments in the past wish to dispute the issue now?

Indiana has one sprinter. I also have not seen Drouin, the 7'6 High Jumper. I am going to bet he is redshirting.
For Wisconsin to have a good meet they need the distance guys to step up and the key will be the multi guy Cato. He already has the NCAA auto and is good enough to score in other events besides the Hept. I guess a lot depends on his health and whether or not the coaches let him play track and field for a weekend.
In the scoring spots at the moment minus distance and relays here is what Indiana and Wisconsin have.
60 - 1 In
200 - 1 In
400 - 0
60HH - 1 Wis
HJ - 1 Wis
PV - 2 Wis
LJ - 2 Wis
Hep - 2 Wis
WT - 0
SP - 1 Wis
TJ - 1 In
I will let you boys argue about the distance events.
Cato really stepped up and had an awesome meet. The Wisconsin runners really had a poor weekend. If I were Cato I would actually be a little bit pissed off. Not the Wisconsin had a chance to win but they could have done a lot better.
On the other hand Indiana really did win the meet. I dont think you could say others lost it. They had a high jumper win, there sprinter Kind really stepped up and got 18. The distance squad did some serious damage. Indiana's Triple jumper went from 5th to 2nd on his fifth jump and pushed two Nebraska guys and one OSU guy down the scoring table. At the time Nebraska was 1-2 and settled for 3 and 4th by the end of the TJ. That was a huge event.

Yes, Indiana distance won it for them. I was especially impressed with Bayer, winning two events and gutting it out for critical points in the 5000m. Minnesota getting zip in the mile hurt, as it's usually a good event for them. It hurt having Blankenship out; not only is he a great miler, but he seems to get them pumped up. Oh well, the Gophers won 3 straight championships and came close on this one.
Cato ran 7.88 (60h) in the heats and over 25 feet in the LJ; if he had those marks in place and finished a bit faster in the 1000 (he did not need to and he was not going to set a PR) he would have had a score close to 6100, which is getting close to world class. As it is, he has a chance of taking the NCAA Hept [7.00; 25'2"; 44'; 2.10; 7.85; 5:25; 2:48].
Drouin has probably used his indoor eligibility. He was hurt for outdoors last year and is a senior outdoors while having competed indoors (winning the NCAA title). T&FNews picks him to win the outdoor NCAA but not the indoor, so that is a sign he is done indoors.
