The kid's got world class speed, but last year he trained for the 400m. By your theory, Justin Gatlin and Maurice Green should run the fastest times in any event because they have "world class speed".

Personally I feel Wariner is the next great American track athlete to dominate the world athletics scene. It is nice to see the idea that White men cant run and cant jump being challengened ( for example - Jonathan Edwards ). This can only be positive towards making the sport more accesible and attractive to the next generation.
Would it be news if there was a Bushman sumo wrestler or maybe an Eskimo Surfing champion? A white 400 champion isn't much more likely. That's also why Yao Ming is a bit of an anomaly by the way.

I was happy when a white person won a sprint race, but this was not a racist thought. I cringe when anyone says that only whites can do this, or only blacks can do this, or only Asians can do that. It is the Jeremy Wariners of the world that show us that race alone does not limit ability.
