The Armory will feature a lot of head to head matchups within the Patriot League this weekend. William "Transitions 2.0" Volkman will be running there, and he'll be looking to have one after being left out of the Championship 5k the night before.

Yeah, I agree. If Volkman sports the Transitions lenses as you predict, his prescription glasses will be able to turn into sunglasses, keeping his eyes protected while also impressing the fashion gurus on the streets of the Big Apple.
By looking at those PB's, it would seem that Carr feller from Bringthem Young Univeristy is the class of the field, but I'm guessing some late night floating sessions with a knee-length-skirt-wearing coed tired out his core muscles.

Agreed, there is some great Patriot League competition in NYC this weekend. Looks like this will be the first 5k of the indoor season for all these guys.
Prediction for order of Patriot League runners:
1. Chris Johnson- No one in the Patriot League will touch this kid in the 5k. This might be the most awkward kid you’ve ever met but he balls out on the track. CJ going HAM FTMFW this weekend.
2. James Miller- Bet he really wishes he had that last 3k race back. He definitely has a chip on his shoulder going into this weekend. Watch out for the blazing kick in the last 200m! Go Jimmy!
3. Mark Allen- Probably the strongest out of the American trio. That 4:13 converted combined with his xc strength makes him dangerous come championship season.
4/5 John Pope/Mark Leininger- Really don’t know or care who finishes higher. Looks like Pope is stronger over longer distances while Leininger has it in the shorter stuff. Winner gets a gyro from Centro.

Imma gonna say... this thread has a little of each team in it except Navy. I doubt those guys go on here. Army def has some nerds that go on here. Bucknell goes on here a lot. Lehigh goes on here a lot. Lafayette has their dudes that go on a lot. Colgate goes on minimally. American i bet suprisingly doesnt. Holy Cross does, when they're not posting bomb threats on 4chan... ZING!
After a valiant attempt by Stats Guy, this thread is regressing to the mean. FloTrack has live video of the Collegiate Meet at the Armory today and tomorrow for those interested in watching the competition. No hype needed - should be a great event.
I agree with righteous balls. Navy and Army don't got time for this. Bucknell and Lehigh carry the thread with all of their debauchery. Lafayette, American, Colgate, and Holy Cross all probably have one or two guys who post every once in a while. BU and Loyola may have a few testing the waters as well.

Two very strong races by both Allen and Leininger at the Armory, but what happened to Johnson? did anyone see the race? splits?
It looks like Pope did not run. Miller ran a nice 5k and came back to run a 4:25 mile at home the next day.
