Haven't seen the new thread pop up. I'm fairly new here and had a question.
I'm running the Flying Pig in Cincinnati in two weeks. I did my last long run(20miles) today. One thing led to another and I ended up running most of it at 8:15 pace. I'm conservatively aiming at 3:45 due to some recent aches and pains.
Did I screw myself over by going after it in this long run, or will I have enough time to recover before the race?
I have about 30 miles planned this week, then 8 miles the following week before the marathon. Nothing too stressful.
Thoughts?
