You have been bitten, by me, for taking a single point position to a claim. You are no John Lennon. Lennon had somewhat different interpretations of his own work: music. This is not unusual. It is typical human behavior to remember why you did something differently over time.
You should study human behavior. Start by reading the two books I posted. What you think you know about Lennon will change. He might decide he is bigger rat than you thought. At one point in time he claims one thing. At another point something seemingly the same but different.
I am convinced he was having multiple affairs at the same time he was married. Not just while he wrote Norwegian Wood, but most of his music. It is not so unusual for a man in a position of power --with many women interested in them for that reason alone-- to "expand" their horizons. Same old, same old.
