I saw your alleged source, but throwing out the name of a book without some sort of link is not very convincing. Proof of the quote requires more than just a page from amazon.com.

I have demanded nothing. You mentioned the possibility of lies and I merely tried to get you to see that it could come back to bite you.
But it really doesn't matter. Of course Lennon would be very careful (not completely truthful) when talking about this specific affair.
You have been bitten, by me, for taking a single point position to a claim. You are no John Lennon. Lennon had somewhat different interpretations of his own work: music. This is not unusual. It is typical human behavior to remember why you did something differently over time.
You should study human behavior. Start by reading the two books I posted. What you think you know about Lennon will change. He might decide he is bigger rat than you thought. At one point in time he claims one thing. At another point something seemingly the same but different.
I am convinced he was having multiple affairs at the same time he was married. Not just while he wrote Norwegian Wood, but most of his music. It is not so unusual for a man in a position of power --with many women interested in them for that reason alone-- to "expand" their horizons. Same old, same old.

This is historical fact and not in question here. Lennon was clearly a womanizer and sex fanatic. The song, however, was about one particular affair. This is also historical fact. You are allowed to differ, but you must accept the idea of being wrong.
The wrong one is you. Buy the book. Read it. Learn something new.

What Lennon said is subject to interpretation and Lennon's own memory of what actually occurred, and what did not occur. His memory changed over the years to suit whatever purpose he had. I'll stick with his last interview as being the closest to what he intended.

Bingo! Now you're getting it. Anything he said was subject to his ulterior motives. That's why it is more reasonable to listen to those who knew him best. They did not have the same motivations to deceive.
My point is that Lennon was a major womanizer. It is not about one woman in particular. it is about several affairs he had, and likely was having. That is why who is subject to debate. There is no special who. There are several special whos. Women only? Maybe, maybe not.
