I'm liking what I'm seeing, lots of early ECAC qualifers at that meet. Also, Buff State looked strong at their first meet, even in the distance department for this early, and Fredonia ran too but I can't find the results. I'm excited to see if any of the lower-tier SUNYAC teams have any dark horses that will show themselves in the coming months.

I'm excited to see what Fredonia, Plattsburgh and the third tier teams are able to pull together by the end of the semester and the beginning of the next semester and the beginning of the bigger meets, and maybe even what they can do against the powerhouses come championship season.

Some solid times/distances thrown down at SLU yesterday.
Most impressive is Dalton soloing (and lapping Pavlus) in running a 17:21, which will most likely get her into nats.
In regard to the long jump, I'm pretty sure Nwana Okafor is the reining SUNYAC champion as well as ECAC champion. He also beat all of the people you mentioned at Nationals outdoors on his way to becoming an All-American. So how he's not on this list baffles me. Also, as for Cortland "dominating" the field events I think throws will be pretty even, cortland takes the pole vault, Louis and Okafor will take long jump.... again, as for the triple jump from what i hear Wilson isnt jumping this yr. neither is Flynn, so I'd put Charsky, Louis and Razzano in those spots.

3- No. Hopefully Cort and Gen throw down fast times early and duke it out at nationals
4- No, they don't have close to the talent they've had. It's between Cortland and Geneseo
5- Not as much depth, but the top guys are as good.
6- That's the fastest he'll run all year.
7- Heard he's transferring to Oregon, anyone confirm?
8- Taft is experienced, they'll do fine.

No one cares about who is going to win SUNY. The main fight is for last place. Oswego and Oneonta are usually wrestling each other, don't count out brockport this year....It's Ok, if its a threeway

1) Yes, but if he does, he will probably only do it at one meet where there is lots of competition for him.
2) No he is not, I dont believe so
3) There's no guarenteeing it, but it would be nice to see some other teams mix it up with Cortland and Geneseo in the DMR at SUNYAC's
4) No they will not. They have no distance team(and in this conference the only way you can survive is having a very talented distance squad, and they've lost too many of their good sprinters. They'll make a splash, but they're not winning this year.
5) I think Cortland will definitely put up a fight, but maybe in the mid-distance events. In the 3K and 5K,it's all Geneseo, with Marcantonio mixing it up in there.
6) Not even close, that Buff State guy is never running 1:55 again in his life. At least probably not. But Buff State #1 in 800 isnt happening.
7) To tell you the truth, I have no idea.
8) Taft is a very competent coach, I think Plattsburgh distance won't just be ok, I think they might even step it up abit this season. Don't forget Taft ran under Lynch so she's a step ahead of the game.
9) I dont know, if these people actually did something with their lives and became a part of the running scene instead of sitting on their asses, they might be more informed and be able to carry on a conversation about something worthwhile.
10) I dont know, definitly not any SUNYAC schools(well maybe Geneseo)
he's not a sunyac guy, but those are some slow times for cohen miles-rath.
