McKaig ran this as a tempo run. She was in the middle of cross season and even raced a cross race the day before. I think they have her rated about right. Although Kelly will not be in the top 5, probably top 15. She has never been as good as the top 5.

Surprise of the weekend will be Kelly Jaske finishing top 5 on the women's side. You haven't heard of her yet, but you will! :)

the only thing i know about her is she ran a 2:49 at the boston marathon last year.

She also ran a 1:14 half-marathon last July and a 26:27 8k last September. She is in MUCH better shape right now and those of us who know her, feel she can mix it up with most of the women tomorrow.

KELLY JASKE - 2nd woman overall in the Half Marathon!!! She cut two full minutes off her previous half marathon PR. Those of us who have run with (or well, behind) her knew she had it in her.

Keep an eye on this woman. She\'s up and coming. Not to mention one of THE nicest people you will ever meet.

WAY TO GO KELLY!!! We are all SO proud of you.

Actually, she cut 2:52 off her PR from July 2008! She is running Boston, should be interesting to see what she can do with this new fitness level.

That is what I am getting. Why can't we find more accurate results?

WTF is wrong with the race organizers. They have totally botched the results. Not to mention that the times are about 6 to 8 seconds off.

What site are those results from?

Found this on chron.com:

Olympic medalist Meb Keflezighi won the men's Aramco Houston Half Marathon on Sunday with a time of 1:01:25 and a pace of 4:42.

Keflezighi took a lead before the first mile and never looked back. He finished a full 10 seconds in front of the second place runner Dathan Ritzenhein.

Keflezighi won the silver medal in the marathon at the 2004 Olympics and finished in third place in the Houston Half Marathon in 2007.

On the women's side, it was Magdalena Boulet who took the top spot in the half marathon. She finished in 1:11:47 with a pace of 5:29.

Keflezighi, born in Eritrea, and Boulet, born in Poland, are both naturalized Americans.

Sean Wade, the defending champion, took the men's masters race in 1:07:09, while the women's masters half marathon winner was Peggy Yetman in 1:18:43.

Looks like a women's world record....

Not sure if the mens times are right, and it has Ritz as the victor...

If Gotcher's time is right that is a hell of a run.
