There's a very good chance Boro, Ship, and Haven could be sending both their Men's and Women's squads to Nationals this year. This is a banner year for Boro and Haven women, with the both of them not having been this good in a long time (Lock Haven I don't think ever on the women's side).

I'm not even the guy who wrote the post you're replying to, but I'm still going to call you out on being a weak-ass, cross country-running, internet tough guy. I'm sure all 135 pounds of you looks real tough in a bar brawl. Get a clue, man. He's right. The PSAC is going to get destroyed at Nats this year. Edinboro might make top 10 if they run their asses off, but I seriously doubt that will happen. The other two teams will be 20th and higher. Mark my words. Last year was a strong year in the PSAC. This year is garbage.

@vin banana -- good call. I totally missed Ship's 4th runner when looking at the individual results. That changes things quite a bit.
I guess it will look more like this:
1. Boro
2. Lhu
3. Ship
I could easily see lhu and ship swap places...but think esu and sru will be on the outside looking in.
So, yeah, could easily be same mend and women teams...

I would say it has been a long time for the Haven women, I don't know if they have ever been good. Long overdue for having such a good coach.
But you can't put the Boro women in the same category as Haven women, not to long ago the Boro women took 2nd at nationals, and they were a top 10 team about 5 years ago. It has been a couple years for them, but I don't think Watts is going to have a banner raised for his women's team taking 2nd at PSAC's.
Very educated response. Let me say this, I am a huge fan of the PSAC and am by no means a has been. I truly wish all of this years teams the best. But lets be honest, we are all kidding ourselves by not saying the PSAC is weak. Last year any of our top three teams could have been top 10 in the nation, just so happened that only 2 could go and only one did it. It would have been frightening to see how many points one of lasts years teams would have scored at this PSAC meet. I know there will always be rebuilding years but there are a lot of conferences that never struggle to produce quality teams every year. Edinboro did not look that strong at all, Ship looked as expected...a rebuilding phase, Lock Haven looked good behind Mitch and Monroe...Until Mitch dropped out. Lock Haven is definitely missing Zondlo right now I'm sure. I hope we can get another top 8 finish but truth be told I will be very surprised if we do.

Thinking Haven with a healthy Mitch Miller definitely gets a spot, as with Ship. Thinking a Haven upset, followed closely by Boro then Ship.

I doubt Haven will be fielding a healthy Mitch Miller.
ESU will steal a spot. They're solid and will pack up in a clutch situation and take a spot from a LHU team that is hurting from a Mitch Miller sickness/injury. ESU will be led by an all region performance by Frank Fezza, and their pack won't be far behind him.
How about individuals? Looks like a 3 man race.. Anderson, Schelander, and Monroe. I'm calling a close one with Anderson over Monroe. Flat courses favor Monroe, but the hills of Cooper's Lake will play into the hand of Scott Anderson. He'll take a close race over Monroe, with Schelander coming out of the castle as those two finish.
Here's an interesting scenario to play out: say Boro, Ship, and Haven make it as teams.. who will be the 3 individuals who go behind them? Based off the PSAC results, it would be Dinzeo, McBride, and Arrigoni. Who do you think will come up clutch and write their ticket to Spokane? In this situation, I like Dinzeo and McBride. I think the last spot will come down to some super soph's and a revitalized junior - between Arrigoni, Fezza, and Costello from IUP - Arrigoni has home field advantage, Fezza has been coming on strong, and Costello has run sub 26 on the 8k at Coopers Lake in a race where he beat Arrigoni in a kick. Either way, I think all 3 will be all-region.. but it's all going to come down to a kick.
Has anyone seen this course recently? Might as well call it the Atlantic Regional Warrior Dash. What a joke.

unless i'm mistaken only 2 individuals would go if ship, haven, boro were the three teams. the NCAA takes the top 2 non-team individuals in each region or anyone that finishes in the top 5. so if the order of finish was the same as the conference meet, Dinzeo and McBride would go. However, last year we all made the mistake of forgetting there are other conferences in our region and Dustin Hall of Wheeling Jesuit took a nationals spot. Also, Winston Salem St. has an African who ran 24:32 at his conference meet and was top 20 in the region last year. And we can't forget to mention Hillary Mugun is still in the region @ UDC. I would go into this meet expecting some unfamiliar faces to be in the top 10 at the 5k mark.
the new individual and team qualifying standards will not take effect until next season, we only have 3 bids this year because of Ship's top 8 finish at least years national meet.

Vin Banana, Hoovis, and PeeonmyBallSac, are the only three sensible posters on this thread. I'm getting pretty sick of these ESU guys coming on here and saying how they are gonna take the spot. Go ahead do it and stop talking about it. Seriously, you guys must have something in your water that makes you a bunch of clowns. And if you do make it, it will embarrassing to watch you perform at nationals. Ship barely made top 8 with 7 all conference/region type runners. What do you guys have, three?
