Where is indoors next year? Edinboro has the best track but Doug Watts is psycho with all his yelling and ranting and they do not put on a very good meet. ESU track sucks but it is well run and closer for most teams.
The indoor meet this year I thought was great. Everybody seemed to be running fast times. Also with the big fields and multiple heats a lot of people got the opportunity to run at conferences and run PR's. When we were at ESU because of the small fascility they wouldn't have had the chance to race and experience a great meet.I hope in stays in Edinboro of maybe get bumped to a place like PSU or somewhere with a great 200 meter banked track. No reason to go back to a flat 200 with a lack of spacing for the jumps and throwing events in another building. They did a great job before the Edinboro track but now its stupid to go back.
Edinboro is definitely the better track. Just get the people from ESU to run it instead of Watts.
? who is the best competitor when it comes time to lay it down at PSAC/s? Not the best athletes but the guy who gets the most done with what he has. Women also.
Bias here certainly but Edwards is a hell of a racer and she started out as a typical 19: minute girl in HS.

Edwards is legit and has come a long way. Will be interesting to see what happens with her and the top dogs at conference. Not as talented but does compete well.

SEAN STETLER. He always shows up and goes into SEAN STETLER BEAST MODE and puts the team on his back. He's a hellacious competitor when it comes to championship time for sure.

There is no rising for Edinboro as their guys are always ranked high for the outdoor season and they stink the place up. Presently they have the top 2 seeds and 7 of the top 13 in the 5k and the top seed and 3 of the top 7 in the 10k. They will be lucky if they get 15 points for the two events.

There are alot of people who step up and some, like Edinboro men, who do not. However the biggest underperformer in my 10+ years in PSAC is not a distance runner but Harris, the LJ from IUP. He can't get on the board. That is the Jamaican coach's fault. The coach will move him back 2 feet after his first foul and then when he fouls again he moves him up 3 feet for the next jump. Go figure.

Yes but he fouled 4 times at the big meet. Luckily it was a weak field and I do not think he jumped his best. If you come thru you have your best performance.
He is without a doubt the most talented just not a good performer. Last year at West Chester he was more than 2 feet better than the next guy and he did not even place. If he was at some other school he would be jumping 27-28 regularly.
If it was a race on the track you only get one chance and even though he is the most talented he would lose. Luckily for him you get 6 trys to get it right once. So with 2 back and 3 up you get lucky and talent comes thru.

Major props to little Spence and her stellar run at Mt. SAC. I believe that's the fastest D2 time ever for the women's 5K. Too bad Jess Pixler (formerly of Seattle Pacific now at Colorado) wasn't in that race. With her 15:25 at Stanford and Spence's 15:33 at Mt. SAC -- would've been a hell of a battle at Nats.
