well said Vin, The top two teams for men and women are both representing in my book. Kutztown women had a lousy PSAC but came back to show and place in the right one. Haven, well run pack at the right time.. Ship men and women, what a truly super season.. The Atlantic region is due to make their mark this year, Work together at the big one to pull both teams to top finishes so that we might get that automatic third slot for next year.. It is about time our colors fly at the Nats. Ships' red white and blue... Havens' maroon and grey? and Kutzotows' maroon and gold.. bring it home harriers.. for PSAC!! As for the BORO, the 31 year dominance is over... better luck next year when that 3rd slot opens up.

The region was great as expected this year. I never doubted Haven being the favorite this year. Ship ran solid all year but can't quite match Haven even with Neyhart. The fast start forced ship to break up separte that pack. Haven ran hard from start and held on and they will be well ahead of Ship at NCAAs. But both will be top 8. LikeI said earlier there are 3 potential top 8 teams in the region. The Boro guys would have won this region most years with that team. Goodluck to Everyone going to NCAAs. If Haven runs like that again a slight mistake by the other teams has them knocking on the door for the podium.

Congratulations to the Ship XC men and women. And for the rest of the Atlantic region I say thank you. An extra bid on each side is a fantastic thing for our region and conference.

Congratulations to Neely Spence, Elicia Anderson, Jen Harpp, Katie Spratford, Rosie Mascoli, Mary Dell, Scott Anderson, Alex Monroe, and Brandon Boyer. That is a nice haul of All American awards for our conference.

Lastly, congratulations to the Lock Haven men and Kutztown women. Both teams competed admirably in tough conditions, and capped off fantastic seasons with great races. Overall that was a great representation of the PSAC and a step towards our conference being more competitive on a national level.

i can't wait for indoor season and seeing some incredible performances on the Edinboro track.

An overall great XC season this year, every meet was exciting, and the best part...another bid for the region next year!

Crazy to think very nearly had two teams in the Top 8. Lock Haven finished 12 points outside of 8th place. I heard they were holed up in airports all day and didn't get to their hotel until about 3 am Thursday morning. I'm sure none of those guys would make excuses for themselves, but I'd guess that might have contributed to their less than expected performance on Saturday. Definitely could have been more All-Americans from that team this year. They still put up a fight as I saw on the board they were in 2nd place at the first checkpoint.

Ship and LHU definitely got PSAC back into the national conversation. Great job this year, guys.

Both men's teams deserve to celebrate... from their Epic PSAC finishing at Cal... for Ship to Haven's dominance in North Carolina. to the national finishes of our true blue PSAC members. Give yourselves the needed rest and be ready for next year when the third team gets to represent one of the best conferences in the country! Thanks for that! Ladies too! Neely Spence, it's an honor to have you in the conference. I couldn't be happier. The Conference is back to form and there will be work to be done to keep our spots and possibly gain another as we almost did. No one put their head down. Kudo's to All-America performances too!

let's hear some talk on the indoor season. some fast times are being run already..

nothing really surprising indoors so far distance wise. Haven running guys off xc fittness. Monroe was an all-american so 15:00 isnt crazy to think and the 800 guys are rock was impressive for this early but not surprising. the real story is Bud from Mansfield. getting Q marks in 800, mile, 3k impressive.

IF you saw the race even more so he reportedly dropped a 59 last 400 in the mile to go with PR's in the 800 and 3000 the week before.

While Plazenski's early times are notable accomplishments, it also shows he really didn't take any time off from cross.. I would rather run like crap now and put up times when it counts then set the bar high and burn out by the crucial time of the season.

Should be interesting to see how his season plays out.

We all took a week off then started with easy mileage and a hill workout and raced for fun.

Good luck scoring more than 15 pts distance wise at PSACS.

I said the same thing about Chris Clark before...on several occassions. He proved me VERY wrong. If you want to be the best, you have to push the limits.Hoovis

Isn't Bud Plazenski the guy who skipped one of the days at PSAC's because he wanted to go to prom with his HS girlfriend? Talk about a disgrace.

But anyways, Hoovis, Chris Clark was a much different athlete than Bud. It isn't fair to either of them to compare. Clark was able to do that because was a 5 time all-American. Has Bud ever even been all-PSAC? I have no clue whether he has or not.

I looked it up, he went all-PSAC in XC this year, and in the DMR indoors last year. Not that impressive considering he has run 4:15 and 14:57. Seems like every year he starts off strong, then bombs, so basically everything everyone has been saying is true. Take a break off of cross, let your body rest, then start up for track. He should have gone to Haven, Ship, or Edinboro. Have fun majoring in nursing at Mansfield.
