10k had 3 or 4 provisional qualifiers i believe... as did the steeple. i agree the steeple was the most exciting becuase of the team implications however it was not the only fast race. 5k and 1500 were slow from the beginning and the 8 was a little too fast from the beginning and most payed for it. overall a good meet. it would be nice to see the faster times that the psac is capable of but it is simply the nature of a conference meet to be slow and tactital.

After this past weekend, what do you guys think the future holds for the PSAC this fall and beyond?

What did you guys think were the most surprising performances of the weekend?

My thought, how poorly Greg Laria and Bud P. compared to the times they ran coming in, and Mitch Miller....didn't he run 9:20 or a little faster this year? What happened to him?

Bud is a freshman. Sure, some freshman in the past have been great and everything, but he is still a freshman.

I ran like garbage my first two years at college. Some guys take a little longer to come around.

That guy is going to be reeeal tough in his upcoming seasons. He is already running great, and has 3 years left. I'm jealous, but happy for him.

If you were going to start a t & f team and could pick 5 men and 5 women athletes from PSAC's who would you pick and why?

It's flattering how much time these random anonymous posters are wasting talking about me. I am also curious about my "past antics". And why are you so mad? What little celebrating I did was for my teammates. Not for anyone else. In fact I couldn't possibly careless what people have to say about it. These are probably the same people who said I'd never break 3:52 again blah blah. Find a new topic. Even better, why don't you just say who you are. It's foolishness. I meant no disrespect to anyone, especially not Nick Hilton. As a matter of fact my schools SID, AD, and assistant AD were all at the meet and NONE of them found it offensive, in fact quite the opposite. It's no wonder no one watches track and field anymore, when everyone wants to keep it so boring, filled with boring victories and nameless/boring athletes. I was having a little fun, damn me straight to hell if that's such a fiery sin. And believe me, I could see I had the room I needed to win, I may do some silly things, but in the midst of a team battle I'm not an idiot. So everyone, please tend to your lives, your children and your daily tasks, and stop spending so much time getting upset over this crap. Just give it up. I'm not sorry I had a little fun in my victory. It certainly wasn't meant for any of the "haters".

Listen, you know how in elementary school some kids only pick on kids because of their reaction? If you didn't always post stuff on here, maybe people would forget. Nobody picks on the kid who doesn't seem to care. They pick on the kids who flip out when they steal their milk.

You're right, I don't care what people have to say about my celebrations. But wouldn't be funny if you were some back of the packer. It would totally quash your credibility. That's why I'm curious.

So, I'm assuming if you're asking for 5 guys that we're talking xc.

Those 5 are crazy. I'm always gonna have a bias and demand that Cummings be in there. Hah. I don't feel like picking my brain, so right now I'll just agree with those names.

Maybe add Stallings and Wu in there as well.

What course is everyone's favorite in our region? Anyone remember the old Slippery Rock course that was on campus? That wasn't an easy course. The West Virgina course for Regionals in '02 was pretty cool (mostly because you could pet the deer there; and we almost got one to go into Rohl's room).

I almost forgot to mention this.

If anyone is interested in doing a Beer Mile, let me know. It's cross country style, and in Little Valley, NY (about an hour south of Buffalo).

It takes place the weekend after 4th of July. The 9th - 11th. Pretty much, it's a weekend long camping party, with a beer mile on Saturday afternoon. People bring tents and sleeping bags, and we just play outdoor rec games like boccee ball and there is a pond to swim in.

I think it'd be sweet if we had enough people from each school to form teams to compete cross country style in a beer mile. The only thing I wanna crack down on is that I want to make sure you're an alumni, and not Shizzy. Ha, totally joking Josh. Anyway, I do not want to mess up some team's season this upcoming fall, so I have to insist that you have graduated.

Feel free to bring female athlete's as well. I've done this race two years now, and last year we only had 10 women. The more the merrier.

Wish I could have been there to witness PSAC's this year. Looked like it was a good one!

right now in the current psac i would have to say these 5 would make the best track team (distance only becuase nobody cares about sprinters...)

Hilton- the most consistent runner in the conference year in and year out not- never has a bad race, never hurt, always winning.

Beegle- probably the most talented runner in the conference as evident from his 9:12 freshman year and 14:26 soph year... very tough runner who seems to go all out every race no matter what

Neyhart- seems to have the most speed of just about anybody in the conference. 3:48 speaks for itself- maybe not a true distance guy but he should be about 1:50 guy in an all out 800.

Stetler- has a nice range from winning the 3k indoors to the 10k outdoors and always seems to show up at championship races.

Zondlo- Good range from 4:14 indoors to 14:36 outdoors. can also steeple and great at xc. somewhat inconsistent but can put out some great times.

Honorable mention:

Mugun- solid over 5k and 10k... not much speed tho and not a great racer

Johnson- put out two of the strongest marks this year (14:35 and 30:26)... usually doesnt run well at champ races though.

Schelander- great range 14:50 and 3:55

Gillete- same as schelander... great kick

Fezza- looked good over middle distances in beginning of year but did not show up at PSACS

obviouolsy ship and haven biased but they have shown that they are the two best teams in the conference this year and basically dominated the conference meet in every distance event

well said, shizzy! kick ass at nationals, and feel free to celebrate as much as you'd like. you have had a great career at SHIP and you deserve to top it off with an all-american award. a 3:48 doesn't come easy, and you've made it happen! on that note, best wishes at nationals to all the psac competitors. make the psac and your respective schools proud!

I heard Bud P. has a high school girlfriend and ran high school girl times this weekend. Happens sometimes.

And Watts can't train domestic house dogs, but he sure knew what to do with PitBulls.

If i'm taking 5 guys from 800-10k for a track team, that are running right now.

Hilton- He's the best right now, he can run anything from the 1500 to the 10k.

Neyhart- 800-1500 specialist, crazy kick.

Stetler- Doesn't have amazing PR's but wins races when it matters.

Phil Rector- Consistently really really fast in the 800.

I wish Hahn was still running because I would pick him for sure. My last choice would be either...

AJ Johnson- Had a really strong year except for at outdoor PSAC's, put up some really fast times.

OR

Beegle- Tough runner, has some injury problems but when healthy is one of the best in the conference.

Has anyone had problems with this thread locking up for weeks or months at a time and not being able to post on it?
