    Both explosive events. Steroids are not just mass builders. They jack up your nervous system to high heaven, so you can fire the muscles you do have much better and faster. ANY explosive activity will benefit from steroid use.

    Any endurance activity as well. Imagine being able to hammer EVERY workout, and run more mileage due to your body repairing itself much quicker afterwards.

    Komen... You can't be serious. I loved watching him run, but was under no illusions. Just like everyone else at that level, he surely had extra help.

    All T+F records are dirty. Pretty much any record in modern high level ($) sports is most likely dirty. This is the world we live in, and it's no fairy tale.

    Flojo, don't even ask. Koch and Krachtovilova were worse, and then the Chinese woman over 10km? 100m hurdles no way either, two Bulgarians at the same time the fastest ever? The sooner Sally Pearson breaks those records the better.

    Mens

    Now Bolt is an interesting one. He was a complete freak as a 16yo, I think he won World Juniors as a 16yo in about 20.6, looking skinny and with obvious mechanical problems in his stride. Improving 1.3 seconds since then makes sense. I've heard a lot of suspicions about the Jamaicans, but Bolt's level of improvement is along standard, clean lines. Who can say for sure though.

    Forgetting the 400 (how would you like to be Australia's Darren Clarke, 4th at consecutive Olympics in the 80s, both times behind 3 drugged up Americans), I think the 800 WR is probably clean. Rudisha is a freak, look at him relax and stride away while all the others are battling. He's only 6m faster than Seb Coe, so if Coe was clean, why shouldn't Rudisha be? It's not that much of a stretch.

    Don't know enough to comment on Kenny Bekele.

    By the way Mens Jav and HJ - are you kidding? Sotomayor, sorry don't buy it.

    Why is Nigel Amos not mentioned? He was 2nd to Rudisa in the 3rd fastest all time... 1:41.73! He was 18!!! That's superior to Rudisha's performance in the context of human performances.

    High Jump is almost completely natural talent and technique. You can do it or you cant.
