So the WR should be 1:59 now huh, on a course that's not downhill with the wind.
no. it means that last year's tailwind neutralized the difficulty of the course.
there were 100 years of typical or slightly slower times. then one fast year and people are shouting about how fast the course is. its not

This statement is ridiculous.
i hope you saying it is ridiculous because 2:04 is still incredibly fast.
with the heat at boston and wind at rotterdam, i would be surprised to see sub 2:04
the amount of talent at london may cause it to be slower. ever watch an olympic race? plus makau and kipsang already have the two fastest certified times. if either wins- they go to the olympics. their incentive for a fast time is much smaller than mosop's. dont be surprised if the first half goes out in 1:03.
i want to see a sub 2:03, or at least a WR, but i dont think its going to happen

I predict 1:11:09 from Paula an average time. She's just not in shape to run faster than 2:22:18. I could be wrong but I hope I'm not. Paula should be ready. She's had a long time to train skipping feb-march half marathons.
wtf?? You hope your not wrong? Why
i predict 2:09:45 from Paula I am agreeing on 2:22 for the full but 1:09:45 seems being good for her.

Apparently the correct answer was, "A lot of carnage."
Kinda underwhelming on the men's side, all things considered. The women's races were generally more exciting.
Let's hope Kawauchi rocks something big in Germany next weekend.

cenotaph 1

People seem to be blind to Kipsang's superiority. He decimated arguably the best men's field ever assembled by throwing down 4:30's at a point when most races are in a lull or just pacing along. In London this summer perhaps he'll get the respect he deserves.
