Accuse them of starting on the wrong line?
Not likely considering the stadium had FOREIGN viewers during the competition who would probably have protested if that were actually true.
I will admit that is the biggest issue with my wrong line theory.
It is absolutely blatant cheating.
I don't know what foreign viewers were there.
This was an all Chinese event in a communist country.
Any knowledgeable outsiders would have seen this cheating and reported.
Wouldn't they?
I don't know who was there or what protocal the Chinese had for allowing foreigners to view this event.
It's a stretch to say this happened, and I am only calling it a theory, not proof.
I believe Qu could run 3:50, but not if she went out in 42, unless she had sub 3:45 ability.
And Wang's week of 29:31, 8:12, 8:06 and 3:51 just seems so outrageous since not one woman before or after that event could approach any one of those times, including herself, let alone all four in one week.
And of course 5 women breaking the 3000 record in one race - happens all the time, right?
Considering all of the drugs that athletes have done before or since, I just can't point to drugs making such a big impact.
