Written by McCartney, pity his daughter has just fecked up our national flag!

My original post noted the same thing. The song has several meanings. Multiple ones to John. Another version entirely to Paul. Just one example of what makes the Beatles so enduring.

No. There was just one meaning to John. He was schtooping a good friend's wife who just happened to act Scandinavian. He was an asshole, but he got a good song out of it.
Ummm, John was schtooping several woman. Affairs were common for him. The song is about having affairs, not just one in particular.
You can either assume his biographer is right. His statement in his final interview is right. Or that McCartney's version is right.
The song has multiple meanings which is what I think Lennon was after--Ambiguity. Lennon was very good at that.
The slow version of Revolution .... love it.
While My Guitar .... great stuff.
Those two would top my list.
Favorite Beatles song? I have two, and the titles are somewhat oxymoronic in nature: Come Together and Get Back.

Yellow Submarine? ?
"Oh Darlin"
I don't know if this counts as a single song or not, but the medley on Abbey Road. Right now, though, the one I can't get out of my head is hey bulldog. Paul's bass on that is amazing.

Yes, he had many dalliances, but the song was about one in particular.
I am actually quite partial to "You Know My Name, Look Up My Number, in all seriousness.

So, you know for a fact that Lennon lied in the interview reference I provided. Odd claim to make.
