I read Hank Haney's book the other night and was amazed at how unfocused Wood's seemed since his father died: flirting with becoming a Navy Seal, doing absurd weight workouts for a golfer, not practicing his short game and putting, constantly wanting to evolve his swing instead of going with something less than perfect that works.
His fooling around seemed the least of his issues. His passion for the game seemed to be gone. Whether he wins majors again or not seems to have more to do with his desire than his ability.
