Did you end up hitting that 150 last week? How's this week going?
Yep! Ended up at 150 last week. So the last three weeks look like 60-146-150. I'd like to try for more, but I think I'm going to take a down week this week. Basically what I've done this week is take Monday completely off. I didn't feel super dead or anything, but I thought I would get ahead of the recovery process. Today and yesterday I logged 47 miles. 27 on Tuesday, and 20 today. I didn't have time for a second run because I worked 10 hours. I'll be running a double tomorrow to try to hit 25. Basically I'm doing what I did the last two weeks but with a day off instead. Should still hit close to 130.
I appreciate those of you who are trying to warn me against running this kind of mileage, but honestly I'm adjusting well. I've felt pretty tired some days, but it's not anything different than how I feel on a 60 mile a week, I just have to endure it longer. I'm starting to feel really strong, it's great. Honestly, if I get injured or my body eats my muscles (or whatever the guy above said), who is going to miss me? I just want to see how much I can improve before I run the Boston marathon and then another one in the fall (which I won't name because I don't want to give away my location really).
Anyway, I'll keep trying to update this thread as much as possible and post my Boston result. I just figure half the people here don't believe that I'm doing this so I didn't want to keep trying to convince people I'm telling the truth. It's annoying.
