Cheryuot is a Muslim and Hall is a Christian. That is why I am cheering for Robert. No phony bull shit or need to thank his maker.
I don't recall Hall ever "thanking his maker." Others, yes. Not him. Instead he's said that he has a gift and it's incumbent upon him to use it as a way of praising God.
I'm going for 59:07
My son, Timmy, who is a massive fan of Ryan's, says 58:59!

How can you be a "massive" fan?

Bahahaha! The worst part about these \\\"predictions\\\" isn\\\'t the 2:16 in Boston, but that these guy is arrogant enough to think he knows what he\\\'s talking about. LOLZ! I think you should stick to another sport brosef.
2:16....what a joke...if Ryan Hall runs that slow then letsrun.com should be removed from the internet.
it's definetly going to be fast. 59.17 is my addition to the mix.
59:24.61 for Mr. Hall.
59:11 for Hall
Sammy for the win in 58:08, Geb second in 58:45

Ok, other than his first HM has any other race been up to the level of his marathons? I think not.
61:40. He doesn't seem so enthused according to all I have read so I'm guessing he is just in great marathon shape and not ready for shorter stuff. Remember when he ran sub 60 he was training solely for that half. Now he is training to win Boston, not to run a blazing half.
HALL TO BYPASS CITY-PIER-CITY HALF-MARATHON
American marathoner Ryan Hall has decided to bypass the Fortis City-Pier-City
Half-Marathon next Saturday in The Hague. Hall, who ran a personal best 2:06:17
at London last April, decided with coach Terrence Mahon to remain at his
training base in Mammoth Lakes, Calif., and continue to focus on his
preparations for the Boston Marathon on April 20. Hall was to face Haile
Gebrselassie in that race.
Separately, organizers of the City-Pier-City Half said that Dutchman Michael
Butter had also withdrawn from the race due to an ankle injury.
interesting strategy if true, he has not had a competive race since the olympics 7-8 months ago (the 15k he ran had 0 competition), i would think he would want at least 1 real race to see where he is. the 15k he just ran solo timewise would indicate he is in 2:11-2:12 shape, i never thought he would beat geb this saturday, but there are always a lot of good runners in that race that would be a good challenge for him
