20 Year Old Virgin, Am I in the Minority?

this is a long post because im lonely and looking for help.

lol, that goes on the list of things u can only say on an anonymous message board.

first to answer the poll- yes, we are in the minority. i only know one other virgin who is 21, at least one who has told me. maybe there are more that i dont know about. . .

i am a 22yr old virgin. running and the few good friends i have are basically the only thing holding me together right now and i feel like im going to crack soon.

when a girl shows interest, which does actually happen sometimes, i usually dont know how to switch the topic off school or mundane crap because i put it on the pedastol. when i do make a move it is followed by brutal rejection or fake numbers because i lose their interest after a few seconds, sometimes up to a minute i can last if im feeling RELATIVELY relaxed and confident. when i dont make a specefic move and the situatioin unfolds i just hit this total akward stage where i feel completely defeated and just want to get out of the situation as fast as i can, which is usually followed by massive, massive, depression and sometimes sobering up. basically, i think i need to develop my game, but advice from my friends thus far havent helped. my friends say they will go out and help me, but when it comes down to it, their just wrapped up in their own game and dont give a ** about me or they just dont know how to help. any constructive input is nice, plz help.

my friend says not to make crossing the threshold of friend/acquitance to dating/gf a big deal. he said to make it more casual and not korny, like suggesting a study session or something. but i havent tried that because all i will talk about is school and dont know how to cross that line. i dont even know what the line looks like, is it vague?, is it thin?, no idea. i think i need to relax and think friend, but that seems IMPOSSIBLE to me right now.

anyways, im going to ask this girl ive been talking to in one of my classes if she wants to study together. i actually want this one to work because i kinda like her, which doesnt happen that often because i usually shut off. im gonna wait til the final because most likely it will just be hela akward after. ive talked about school and some of her hobbies thus far. nothing that personal, and usually in a situation where we are waiting for class to start or im walking with her to the parking lot. i really do think she is interested but have generally been trying to avoid her until i have a gameplan.i know im making it a bigger deal than it should be. plz help. im graduating soon and really want to get over this. all i need is a start and i know ill be fine afterwards, but i just cant seem to sack up and do it.

It's an non-issue. I am 27 and still a virgin. It is through choice. I have had relationships, i get random women coming onto me all the time.

If you really want to lose your virginity, which i don't advise until your married, tell the women, you want to lose you virginity but just haven't found the perfect girl. Trust me the girl will eat it up. She wants to be your first and perfect women....as long as you marinate that chicken right before you say those words.

Oh the guy just above me. Some advice stop acting needy, be assertive. Grow some grapefruits, and ask that girl.

dude, your lack of self-esteem in the romantic dept. is quite evident. that thinking just snowballs and stifles you.

you need to get out and meet many, many, many women. meet them doing this, that, and the other...anywhere, everywhere.

forget the really good-looking ones(unless your really good-looking or rich), most of them are too self-obsessed and use their looks for material gain--and may be both subtle

or unsubtle in their obnoxious vocation.

just find the positive, humorous, energetic, confident parts of yourself and try to emphasize them. they won't respect you if you're a wimpy, passive, equivocating wussy--because You don't respect those parts of yourself either.

when you meet the right person, "things" will "flow" pretty easily and naturally. if you don't begin to feel at home with the person, and there are awkward blocks to intimacy, that's a good sign it's not the right person--no matter how hot she is.

if you don't work at it, just know it will be unlikely you'll connect with the right girl anytime soon.

a high percentage of the women you'll meet won't be very interested in you, and you won't be interested in them; that's just the way it is in a world of many, many choices. when you find that one where intimacy and connection easily flow--stick with it!, and work it, because it truly is a rare thing indeed.

When all else fails, lower your standards.

Ya I'm not depressed like the guy up above. Life is good.

And in response to one of the previous posts my main priority has been school, I haven't written the LSAT but I rocked the MCAT so that's pretty sweet.

Just thought I'd look for some feedback on the issue, it's not eating me up or anything, one of my friends just made a crack so it got me thinking.

I was born way too horny to stay a virgin for too long. Finally lost it at 18. I couldn't go five minutes in high school without popping a boner looking at the girls in class. It was just a matter of time. The more I think about it, my brain and conscience had very little input. I could either continue whacking off 3-4 times a day, or starting plowing some pu$$y and still whack off twice a day on top of that. I'm 39 and I estimate that I have blown 14,000+ loads in my life. Maybe only 1000-1500 of those loads involved a woman. It doesn't matter. When you are horny as I am, nature must take its course. Women can sense when the balls are filling up and they are often attracted to that.

I'm pretty sure you stole the words out of my mouth, because that is exactly how I am. I can never keep a girl interested too long, and whenever I see any sign of disinterest, no matter how miniscule, I back off and give up.
