When Gatlin is banned for life he'll have plenty of time to go to massage parlors. Maybe he can redeem himself by working with kids, talking about the dangers of PED's, go back to school to obtain his degree. There is no honor in lying and cheating, and as soon as Gatlin drops his sabotage charade and accepts reality, maybe he will be able to rehabilitate his image somewhat.
Until then, I'll monitor the comments on the T&FN board, which this morning seem to be saying that drugs are everywhere in the sport and rather than make a big fuss over it, it's better to turn your head away and accept it. Gatlin's been on the cover of T&FN more than a few times, and it's easy to understand how the loss of their poster boy can send those swept away Gatlin die-hards into crying jags. That's the interesting thing about that board, slowly the apologists, conspiracy theorists, and head-in-the-sand people decide the testing was compromised and can you not wait until Marion Jones next competition?
And darn that shady, nefarious saboteur! Someone in Trevor Graham's Human Resource department must have royally screwed up by bringing that person on board again!
Until these doping ass clowns get criminal fraud charges brought against them by their sponsors or the meet promotors, PED's are always going to be a worthy roll of the dice. Gatlin will cash out with a couple million in the bank and no worries about his testosterone levels. Track and field will continue to limp along until the next bombshell explodes on a Saturday afternoon.
