From my limited dealings with Mennonites and Amish, they tend to keep things in perspective. It doesn't matter what's on the line, honesty is imperative. Good for her.

Recently there was an Italian or Spanish cyclist who tried to explain his high testosterone levels by saying he was naturally like that and had sex with two women every day. Didn't get him off the hook. When they establish the critical levels they take into account natural variation. If he's positive it means it's unnatural. Needless to say it's in the unnatural range that you get an advantage.
And let's not forget that Landis' bizarre disappearance is what prompted his own team to reveal this. So what? He's off having lots of sex because he's a natural testosterone bomb.

little know fact is that landis shaved every day but the facial hair still grew back almost instantly. this is what first made officials suspicious.

How can we forget something that isn't true in the first place? His bizarre disappearance is the result of the drug results and of being suspended by his team. Not the other way around.

Nope. He forfeited a race in Holland last night and this morning he was a no-show on his scheduled flight to Denmark to ride a race there. Everybody was puzzled, and then Phonak broke the news.
There are plenty of Dutch and Danish newspaper headlines about Landis being AWOL from hours before the Phonak announcement.

Also, the test was a urine test and not a blood test (this is important because testosterone levels can very greatly in urine samples which are tested, moreso than a blood sample). Someone who is experienced enough to win the Tour and may have good doctors would be unlikely to take something at that stage that would risk a positive test knowing that they would be tested that day.
Maybe he took an undetectable drug that caused the testosterone imbalance as a side effect but I would think at this level his doctors would know better.
So, I am saying that I don’t trust the riders but I also don’t trust the testers and the governing bodies of the sport or the drug testing agencies.

Check your facts. The results were not "released" by testers or governing bodies, it was his own team who broke the news. So what's their agenda, Mr. Conspiracist?

I said that the preliminary results should not be released.
I do believe that people in the testing agencies and in the governing bodies can be as shady and corrupt as the athletes can be.
This makess allegations of Lance being a doper even MORE believable.
I'm torn. I'd love to see him get popped to show that what the top guys (including runners) are doing isn't really possible to do with what nature gave them. But I'd also hate to see him forever shamed so soon after such an dramatic, uplifting claw-back from the abyss. Most people with a clue suspected doping all along, but it's always a bummer when the inspirational music screeches to a halt and the seedy truth is exposed.
