Holy Cross raced yesterday at the New England Championships and ran much faster than I expected and seem to be moving forward. What are the chances they shock Army or Colgate and finish 5th or 6th?
Here are their top 5 finishers
21 Cicchetti, John SO Holy Cross 3:07.4 24:58.82
118 Muldoon, Dennis FR Holy Cross 3:15.8 26:06.17
119 Hamalian, Gregory JR Holy Cross 3:15.8 26:06.43
136 Villescas, Dylan JR Holy Cross 3:16.7 26:13.43
153 Tejidor, Francisco FR Holy Cross 3:18.2 26:25.61

It was definitely a good run by them, but that course is really fast across the board, we'll find out if they're for real at Patriots though.
1 Lehigh If Bernitt can race.
2 Navy End of an era?
3 American 5man is killing them.
4 Bucknell Still a mystery.
5 Army
6 Colgate
7 Holy Cross Had one this weekend. Still 7th though.
8 Lafayette
1 Johnson
2 Mueller
3 Allen
4 Galvin
5 Pope
We will see in a few short weeks.
Think your missing something/someone in your indivdual/team order of top 5, but that is why they run the race.
The hills of hamilton will tell.
Mahalsky? He's had a good cross season (with a 24:48 at a muddy Paul Short) but has only run 14:59 on the track. Not that track times really mean much right now. But it could indicate that performance was just a blip on the radar rather than him being a consistent performer at that level.
Satterwhite? He could be up there, he has the talent (9:12 2 mile as a Junior in HS) but seems to have really struggled in XC compared to track. (it could be argued he's struggled since his Junior year of HS dropping only 13 seconds off his 2mile performance in the 5 years since then)
Krystek? Maybe but Bucknell hasn't run any races where you can really tell how good they are. He is the 2nd returning runner in the 10k behind Johnson and he's run 30:49 and 14:40. He was a good XC runner in HS too. I believe he was top 5 at states in Pennsylvania?

Galindo and Mueller both beat Krystek in the Patriots 10k last year

McGowan's 10k looks dubious, he could've just had a race, but that's a big one man. Is it possible that he ran a lap short?

I know McGowan got hurt later in the outdoor season and was still running on injury. That is why he had a lot of NT's and a bad patriot league race. That 10k time is in fact legit, you can watch for yourself in this runners space video.

Holy Cross' first man's performance is impressive (fast course or not). The rest of the team is better then expected, but Id say 6th is a long shot. Id guess they finish 7th this year, as it should be stressed that this course seems to run fast across the board.
With no seniors, maybe they can crack top 5 next year (not this year). Its good that they seem to have a pack.
Blasphemy!

Doubt it. Navy, Army, Lehigh, Americn, and Bucknell look like they will still be pretty decent next year, and holy cross has a terrible coach.

Who else do they have? (Other than a 23 year old british dude)
what makes you say that about their coach/how do you know?
Lehigh returns everybody on their current team next year.
