A pleasant hour and 40 on the mountain bike in One Eye Forest. Had the pleasure of 3 wedge tail eagles putting on an aerial display. Headed out to the lake for a very windy and choppy 45mins on the water. Happily drove away incident free.

waited a full week to allow the knee to calm down....45' yesterday along the water.....took it easy, though it was orginally planned as a 40' jaunt but added the extra 5' to watch a passing tug and barge.....knee was better, but not perfect.....iced afterwards......then a 3 mile walk with the bride.....no lingering issues the day after.....thanks, driske, for that explanation.....not sure it makes sense to me, but I'm not the most technically minded....
Sunday: 39m30s 10k time trial, felt tired, not enough sleep, no complaints after hardly running all week.
Monday: no running
Monday AM.
50 minutes on the catski's. Deer season is over. One can once again venture out dressed in something other than Blaze Orange. Temps remain 10-15F above average for this time of year. Hi's to the upper 30's, lo's just at freezing.
Flushed up one grouse.

good news, bad news......bad = only able to get in 20' on the 'mill yesterday.....winter practices have started and there's been a lot of timing/supervising to do this week.....good = no knee woes......maybe I've passed them on to driske?......sorry......will go for a longer run in the elements this weekend.....
No apologies needed. At best some ornery live stock are largely responsible.

snuck in 20' on the elliptical on Thursday.....not sure if that counts for anything.....Saturday AM awoke early to nice temps and no wind......snuck out just before dawn to do 51' along the water (mostly).....felt really good and debated going for 60', but decided to err on the side of caution....didn't want to push it too much and have the knee flare up on me again.....some mild stiffness there afterward, but much better than the recent past....
45mins solid kyak session, also weights during meal break.
Yesterday. Tooboorac to Heathcote via Spring Plains - 21kms 1h 50m. Then rode the mtn bike back the short way, 16kms in 40mins.

Lunchtime:
Light jog to Villa pamphili; then 10x wide rounds of the campone (+o- 580m) progressing from 2m27s to 2m13s per round. jog back home. no wildlife to be seen.
the wait is over. Skiable snow exists in the region. Timely, in that my right knee is taking it's time healing from a strain incurred a week ago.
13.5 miles over varied terrain in Michign's UP. Many thanks to the Gent who offered sage coaching pointers and form advice enroute. Focus and commit.
Aerobics felt up to the task. Ski specific musclature sorely in need of work.
Local forecast calls for heavy snow within 24-48 hours, let it happen.
"...opted to go solo, as much as i like my groups, it was a my pace, my face, my race, a day of rain waiting to happen which never fell, as i ran hauling downhill to St. Peter's and hauling uphill back to the Villa, all the while thinking of swinging, breath after breath, as lightly as possible, if silence is not golden, it's as close as it gets, to a reflective shade of gray..."
about 50 mins, that's the description of today's run...computing Boston 2010..., inspired by this board's own alpha-Canova, will keep it real simple, really really simple...
