Anyone fast running at the slippery rock meets this summer.

perhaps 14:30 5k, 8:30 3k, or 3:50 1500?

just wondering

not to take anything away from the guys who ran the marathon..but it should be taken into consideration that the course was all downhill.. but congrats on the times none the less

noway is right, the course is a sham, it's not a legit race nor time. 1600' drop?

Does anyone have a link or can tell me where conferences and regionals will be this fall?

PSAC's are at Edinboro, Regionals are at Mansfield. Not sure about the dates.

So how's the outlook for cross country next year?? Any teams pick up some new incoming freshmen who could be game changers in the PSAC?

All I've heard so far is that Kyle Hurston(Carlisle HS) is going to Ship, Kevin Hull(Hempfield) to Millersville. and Bud Plaszenski(Dubois) is off the Mansfield. These are three pretty nasty recruits.

Hurston was 8th in the AAA 1600 at states this year, putting up a 4:16 and change, has a 3200 PR of 9:26, and had a cross season which consisted of an individual win at the Carlisle Invitational against a stacked field, a District 3 AAA individual win, and a PR of 15:48.. he could definitely make a big difference for Ship.

Plaszenski had a decent track season, posting times of 4:24 and 9:32 for a 1600 and a 3200 respectively, but should be even more of a force in cross.. he was 3rd in the state in the AAA race which is really impressive.

Hull was an all-state cross country runner in AA, boasting a PR 5k of 15:56. On the track, he was even better. He has an 800 PR of 1:53.88 and picked up a bronze in the AAA 1600m race, putting up a fast 4:15.13.

What a class coming into the PSAC this year! Any other big time freshmen coming in that I missed?

Ship looks like they got quite a talented crop of runners coming in.. Hurston,Gillett,Borillo and Reilly. Hull is going to Pitt not Millersville.

i heard the rock is bringing in a kid from portugal. from what i heard he's one of Pinto's buddies. he supposedly runs 14:30 for 5k? should be pretty intense if it's true.

When I was talking to Jason Gish at Penn, he indicate that the Ship alum were bringing a team out to Hood to Coast. Anybody know if that is still true?

If so, Gish mentioned they were renting mini-vans because they couldn't find 12-passenger ones. I found him a couple of vans for rent, if they want them (we ended up with 4 and only need 2). If anybody can get in touch with him, will you have him drop me a line: matflecATlive.com

My mistake... Seth Hibbs from Hatsboro Horsham is headed to Millersville. He ran a 4:15.93 1600 to place 6th in AA, and boasts other PRs of a 9:37 3200 and a 15:48 XC 5k.

So what are everyone's plans for the summer? Are Josh Arthur and clan still going out to Mammoth?

Anyone heard any rumors about the Indiana or Bloomsburg coaching positions and possible candidates? Are they're any others in the PSAC open?

The xc coach for bloom will be Bernie Empie and theyre still in the search of an assistent coach.
