driske: obviously, with the well-known respect and appreciation i have for your online existence, as far as the antagonistic kicking-of-your-rear is concerned, i surfed for names of TKD "moves" as we were on the topic with mopak.
"Weerok" seems to have to do with breaking boards with a kick. But it was not so much the "aggression" connotation that attracted me to use. Onomato-acro-peia was more interesting.
I found it telling, in competitively narrative terms, to settle a kick in your butt with a major run-up, 400m worth, to the we-are-dyrt-team sound of !We Rock!, with a set of moves actually called "weerok" (in japanese i imagine) at least according to wikipedia.
I was hoping mopak, with his field experience might want to confirm the accuracy of the source.
You must have gathered, even if you cant be sure, that my competitive side is somewhat rugby/boxing-like. You can get closer after the fight, if it was a sporting fight. In defeat, maybe more so in defeat, high values values can be preserved, upheld, shared.
Howelse can the fortunate, the talented, the blessed, learn to not be afraid of Victory?
mopak: do you have human neighbors?
