Also it seems like a good time to discuss it again... time has shown that running wise, it really was a poor decision.
I'm pretty sure that you go to college so that you can get a good job in the years after. As long as he doesn't end up living in a van down by the river, I don't see how anyone can say that it was a bad decision in any way.

Leave the kid alone. We all know SRU is not the place to go to get mentored and develop as a runner. We all know the coaching staff is not great. However, if you ever ran for SRU and were somewhat passionate about running, you would know that SRU is a great place to run because the team is/was tight and there are beautiful rural roads to run regardless which way you go. There are all kinds of trails you can get mixed up in as well. I would argue that the rock has the best spring break and cross country trips of any other PSAC school. There are more things to life and running than how fast you stop the clock and how high you place in some meet. Jeff is a good kid and still faster than 99% of all the PSAC posters on this website.

I doubt that. Highly doubt that. Derrick ran 13:55 and that was a monster run last year and was considered one of years top performances, Weiss wasn't nearly at the level Derrick was.

Actually the indoor season starts one week prior to the start of the Indoor National Championships.
You frigging retard go ask your coach. And since you can't - yes the time counts the first oficial outdoor meets begin in February. Most of them are out west but some in Florida. And if you took the time look up Flash Results you would have seen times for meets out west posted there.
Jeff has made considerable imporvement since commin to the Rock. The only downside to Jeffs runnin carreer at the Rock was he overtrained with Pat last year and it really messed up their indoor and outdoor seasons last year.

So are you tellin me he ran 409 in high school....oh yea and jeff has been training for the 5/10 since he was a freshman in college so dont bring up this breaking 4min mile bull shit
Yes, he won states with a 4.09. His freshman year of college was by far his best in cross country, and he slightly improved in the 5k...but he prob could have ran close to that in high school too.

they dont have 5k or he prob would have come close....His best cross season started only 3 months after he was out of highschool
PSAC: get your facts straight, Weiss NEVER ran 4:09 in high school (4:14 high). He NEVER won the state title in the 1600 either. I don't know where you are getting your facts from but they are way off base! Oh, and there is no way he could have run 14:04 in high school, 3200 pr was only 9:08.
