Stockley had such a great xc season that he is skipping track to train for the world championships this summer. haha no way, he graduated and is reportedly very out of shape. As for the rest, Gaudet ran the DMR at conference, but I have not seen the others.
Word on the street from Bloomsburg is that the coaches there have bolted for the midwest someplace. Left their team in the middle of the semester. What does anybody know?

Karen Brandt has accepted a position at Indiana Tech as Head Coach for both XC and Track. Not sure about Jim but yes they have resigned as coaches.

that's really sh!tty of them to just walk out on there team in the middle of the season, i would be furious.
If you had been coached by them you would have thanked God him self for their departure.

PSAC GIRLS SHOWED UP IN THE DMR...except for millersville, they got lapped. CLARION WAS 4th and SHIP actually won the thing. I think they ran 11:24. Smoking. PSAC brings home another national Championship.
Honorable mention: lockhaven got AA running 10:12ish, 6th

Their splits were: Dell- 3:30, Hare- 57, Huber- 2:13, Spence- 4:42. give or take some tenths.

Honestly, you're probably going to catch hell for the "big school" comment because people in this conference have an inferiority complex, but I've also wondered why this topic hasn't been discussed more extensively on here. I mean, Weiss was a Footlocker finalist, was he not?
Big school, little school, the real question is why didn't he go to a place where the coach has a proven record of success long term. SRU will fade back into its own shadow of mediocrity that it once was. They were never good in the 10 years before Weiss and will most likely not be good for another 10 years.

The decision jeff made was discussed quite extensively on these boards before he arrived at SRU. I believe his family got involved in the chatter at one time. I think it was stated that Jeff made his decision based on factors more important to him than running. And I don't know what you are saying "could have been great" one of the best runners in PSAC history is pretty damn impressive.
The rule for making it on to the qualifying list for PSAC's is "All marks and times must be made during the outdoor track & field season".
According to directathletics.com Hahn and a slew of other Edinboro runners made it on to the PSAC qualifying list at the UNF Spring Break Open which was on March 6th. But doesn't the outdoor season officially start once indoor nationals are over? Nationals were March 13th and 14th I think, that would mean all of those quality times won't count towards qualifying for the conference meet.
So, do the times count or don't they?
Yeah, I don't know Jeff or anything but I do remember this topic being discussed back when he first went to SRU. It did sound like there were a lot more factors than running involved in his decision. I'm glad that he went to a PSAC school though so that we all got to watch him.
