The timing people at Paul Short have done this a few times in the past with the Brown and White races as well. A D3 runner from Hamilton ran the Gold while his team ran the Brown or White. (he came in 3rd with a 23:40 if I remember right)

Princeton women ranked 5th in DI Mid-Atlantic coach's poll this week. Last week, they were ranked 29th in the country. Many (most) teams in the gold race are ranked below Princeton yet Princeton is not scheduled to run in the gold race. This cannot have been a race committee decision. What, does coach Farrell want his women to run a tempo this weekend?
They are probably running their B team in the lower division race. I believe they have gone to Notre Dame in past years with their A team aqnd Paul Short with their B team.

Princeton has done this on the men's end also. A couple of years ago they dropped down to the Brown race the day of the meet. They won by 133 points.

I concur. I ran at Colgate from 1880 to 1884, and we never surpassed 50 yards per fortnight. We took our meals amongst one another, and may have nipped the flask a bit heavily at times. Albeit, we fared better than the midshipmen).
I love the way Johnson is listed on the PSR race assignment sheets. 120-plus teams over three races and, one individual, in the gold race. What about the other studs? They don't get personal recognition because they are running with their teams? And, for all you guys who don't think Johnson will win. Very funny stuff, that... Who will?
