SIGNS OF LIFE!!! Hahaha....
Again, I did my "signature session" at lunch hour today, but the cooldown was cut drastically due to time limitations. 27:30 grass jog + (4x100m strides + 4x200m) on the old dirt track + 5min grass jog.
I didn't push hard on the 200s, but 37-36-35-34sec felt SOOOO good, with short recovery (ie starting on 75sec). (The 200s would be 1.5 to 2sec faster on our good track, I'm convinced of it.)
Mechanically, I felt amazing. My knee lift, my arm movement, the way I came off the turn, the way I powered through the line, the way I foot planted and pushed off....it all seemed like a Revelation today, hahaha....
I'm loving a daily 4x200m. These days, I'd rather do a little speedy thing every day vice a couple of big speedy things per week. I have to keep relearning that one. 4x200m is just long enough to activate my ancap system, I feel.
Late Sunday I'm going to do 4x200m on 60sec (ie very short recovery!) in spikes on our nice track. This will be a good "800m drill", if any of you 800m freaks want to join me. Maybe warmed up by 8pm ish!
