I did a simple, easy 40mins today, during lunch hour. It felt fine, but my right ham is still tight after several weeks. Meh.

TPCB; there, I'm feeling up to date, thanks. BTW, got a pair of Vibrams on order.
That group of guys sounds like the Aussie equivalent of the Greater Boston Track Club or Shorters group in south Florida. Awesome.
Grandma's hosted Lorraine Moeller for a couple races back in the early 80's. She was a cutie in her day. My vanity pushed me enough to eek out narrow margins of victory over her and Alex Rattele. Getting outrun by gals and 50+ somethings still carries clout in my life, despite the fact that it happens ever more frequently.
Lorraine has evolved into quite an interesting persona judging from the presentation she offered at the Grandma's expo last June. Lydiard Rules.
First recovery run this morning, easy 2-mile jog. Took it real easy today because I have a history of getting injured after hard runs or races. Stiff as all hell yesterday, better today. Gonna do mileage runs every other day this week per advice of coach and I start XC training on Monday. :)
Does anybody else wonder what they were doing in life before they discovered running?

Do it. Do it all. You know you love the 800m now.
And I want sub 17:30 on Chemainus. The rolling nature of that course bugs me, but Imma gonna do sub 17:30 anyway.
I do love the 800m! Running as fast as a high school girl is exhilarating at my age.

Today I did 60mins again, on precisely the same route as yesterday, except that I was 30sec "longer" than yesterday. It felt good, in lovely weather. I'm in "tank filling" mode after Nanaimo. Man, that hurt!

Aw f*** it, RD wins, hahaha. I don't need this shit.
I SWEAR I'LL NEVER POST IN THIS THREAD AGAIN. (I was doing it partly because of "comfort" reasons - engage my Obsessed Troll and keep him in one place. I'll still post at letsrun, but RD will have to run all over the place, instead of enjoying one-stop convenience.) Hey RD, any luck with
http://www.cvrr.calately?, hahahaha....
Cheers guys.
Sigh.....
OMRS isn't really going to work for me in my "new life". I try to run at lunch hours on Monday to Friday now. The last thing I want to do is come home to Heather, (who has been with Matthew for 9hrs, and who needs to train herself), and say "I'm going to the track now. See you later."
I'll change my sig. If YOU decide to continue with OMRS, then all the best! (Let's face it - it hasn't really worked, hahaha...)
Damn you have a big ego. I'm not omrs, running dogg, or whoever else you think likes you. Just quit posting like you promised.
OMRS: One Mile Run Society.
A one mile race/run/walk/whatever on the first of every month.
Maybe a weekend or a weekday or morning or night or afternoon or dark or light.
Road/track/trail/grass/up/down/flat.
Must be a CVRR Member in order to partake.
1609.34m give or take. Odometers or Google Earth will help.
Time yourself if you want, or maybe not.
No awards, no entry fee.
Maybe a bunch show up, maybe just the organizer shows up. Meh.
July 1st is already set.
A decision will be made before the 15th of every month regarding the next location and timing. The person in charge of deciding these things, as well as measuring, will be chosen during the previous (non)event.
The post run/race/walk gathering at the finish area will normally include snacks and beverages, byob.

You gotta love how this troll constantly accuses RD of lying while he himself is the king of liars. Does anyone still think this loser is not responsible for all the crap on this thread?
Me, Yesterday, 6 PM:
mile warmup
Drills
strides
6x800
mile warmdown
stretch
Wasnt too hot, but southern humidity (felt like 99.9%) sure as hell made it hrad enough!
This Morning, 6:15 AM:
5k easy (with redard to large-volume cross training tonight)
For years I've been saying I want a sub60 (and failing). 61 felt great last year. I'd kill for a 400m time trial night sometime. (After some more speedwork of course.) I do think Lindsay can run 59 right now. The rest of you? Well.... We ALL need some more sprintwork.
Not a liar? wrote:

I AM A MIDDLE DISTANCE (800M TO 5000M) RUNNER.
3000!
I'm committing to 4x1200m with 3min rests on the old dirt track today. It's been a while since I pushed such a workout. I might start at a very casual 4:29, then go from there. Warmed up by 11:45 if anyone is interested!
Um....59 takes time. Hahaha. Do 14sec 100s, then later on, try some 29sec 200s, then, try a handful of 44sec 300s....when that 300 feels ok, then try your big sub60 400.
On Saturday afternoon, my workout plan is 4x300m in 51ish, with 45sec recovery, in spikes. Anyone?
What is 70', RD?
First run in over 6 weeks! Coming back from stress reaction in my left tibia. Did 3.1 miles in 21:08, and every step of the way hurt like crazy! I've been biking around 200miles a week, and all the wrong muscles are pulling and pushing in all the wrong directions, but it sure feels good to be running again!
yesterday was 20min on ellitical machine w/ 6x15sec and 5x35sec
