Great job, HMP! New shoes time? Dowpours can be tough to race in. Did you break 17:00? Good luck on your return to the track next weekend.
All the best.

6 miles today to start the week, was supposed to be easy but I went nuts when I hit a heavy wind and wind gusts for the first half. Made it much harder. 3 day total of 27.
Broke 51 miles last week. Going for 50-55 this week. :)
easy 14 miles in light rain, refreshing
Rolled through a relaxed 78mins tonight, over the ranges behind my house then along the creek and 3 fastish laps of the football oval.
Did a comfy 50mins last night then 20mins spin on the windtrainer. No run on saturday -wife time down the coast.
Winners are grinners HMP!!
46' along a familiar road/trail route....added a 0.25 mile trail loop to make me feel like I was doing more.....it was not enough to offset the half a large meat lovers pizza I ate the night before....no self control....I'll be back at it today, hopefully....the running, that is.....no pizza today...
in bursting sunshine, crispish air, with buddies FrancoP, FabioB, StefanoB, PaoloP, PaoloC, SandroF and more lunchtime regulars, in Villa Pamphili, 5k wu, then i took off 12x100m striders plus quadrupedia exercises, then joined tail end of some structured fartlek. Just blissfull.
my typing is out of control.
REPEAT with CORRECT handle.

Quadrupedia exercises, tpcb! When I first read that I thought of The Who. Ha, ha!
A long day, but had time for 50 (minutes, not miles - ha, ha). All is good and I may give that one hour mark a crack before too long. And to answer an earlier question, no I have no plans to resume a competitive racing career. I'm enjoying exploring the intricate details of relaxed runs through the 'hood.
This thread rocks (like The Who)! Keep up the good work, all!
Thanks everyone. I did break 17, actually got a little bit under 16, so I'm happy with that for now. Today was just an easy 4 with some strides, giving my legs a break and getting my legs back under me for this coming weekend.
Happy running all.
You thinking of Quadrophenia! Ha ha RD you crack me up...
A band most appropriate for our little thread here.
Well, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
I really wanna know (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
Tell me, who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
'Cause I really wanna know (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)
today 2: forgot to mention, bike commute.
PS. I am trying to debate this caffeine/PED in the Wejo/NYT thread but i just have the feeling its going to go nowhere...
Due to time constraints in my increasingly complex life, (and because of other reasons, hahaha....you win RD....slightly!!), I'll post my WEEK ending Sunday, every Monday. I will read all of the previous week's posts, and so I wish you all the best for the next week. Cheers
Skuj.
Monday Poster
For the week ending March 29th 2009:
M=0
T=20min jog + CVRRTNW 530m-1600m-530m-1600m-530m + 4x200m on the track in spikes + 10min grass jog in spikes. A bad lower back, which got looser and looser as the session progressed. A slight gallop on a couple of the TNW runs, and a 41sec 4th 200m. Not good.
W=45min jog + 4x130m grass accels + 5min jog. Back a bit better. First 4 miles 35:18.
T=Exactly the same as yesterday, but back a bit better. First 4 miles 34:01.
F=40min jog + 4x130m grass accels + 10min jog. Back better still. First 4 miles 31:32.
S=20min grass jog + 4x100m accels + 800m in 2:39 + 4x60m runs in spikes + 300m in 50sec in spikes + 10min grass jog in spikes. Not pretty!! (But the spikes felt great this time, no longer alien.)
S=60min jog + 4x75m grass accels + 5min jog. Back finally "good".
A challenging week with the back (due to lifting Half Marathon equipment), but it got better as the week went along.
getting repetitive around here.....5M in some damp conditions yesterday....road-trail-road.....one dog yapping at my heels...."It's okay, he's friendly"......sometimes I give them a "friendly" kick in the chops.....day off today to watch the charges compete....sounds like lolo's taking a break.....finally...
A solid 70 mins on the mtn bike looping around the previously mentioned Mt Camel via a series of rough, often corrugated dirt farm roads -except for a strip of bitumen known as the Colbinabbin -Toolleen Rd. This had a nice climb and a fun 70kph descent, then it was back to shakin' all over on the farm roads.
AM; 10 mile steady
got to the 6th mile. went up a hill and my legs pooled with lactic acid. Jogged the last 4
PM; 4 mile easy. Felt a bit easier.
Don't worry, Skuj, I've got your back.
With a knife.I noticed that you arenot wasting anytime on the ovett85 thread.Well see a lot of this kind of behaviourin the next week wont we rd.

Monday was 85'. Ran to wilderness park, thru the park, and back to work. Was pretty windy. Figured I'm not really in marathon shape, so going to forego that for the time. Sunday was an easy 32' to check the leg.
today: bike commute. walk 4k to and fro kids gymnastics. love it.

You mean the question that you asked yourself, ha!? ;) Do you hide your own easter eggs too? \\
If this means no more postings of world class workouts then go ahead and keep up the ronny daggett lie cus I dont mind any.
9mi in just under an hour. some on the trails some on the roads. felt pretty good. could be the cooler weather with lack of wind.
